  1. I don't know what's got into you lately. I think you are salty about getting banned for 24 hours perhaps. Every single post since then is you disagreeing hard with strawmen. But the answer to your question is simple, if we fail to capitalize on the remaining schedule then there is no excuse. It means we suck and the team isn't good enough.
  2. I don't understand why this is so hard to grasp. The teams we've played so far have been on average pretty good. The teams we play the rest of the way are, on average, not that great. We've played one of the hardest schedules to date. We have one of the easiest schedules remaining. Google MLB strength of schedule and nearly all of the results will tell you this. I've already explained this and then you came back and were talking about how the A's were playing better and how the Red Sox and Giants are no pushovers, etc. I don't really care to get into a debate about whether the A's are a tough opponent or not or how good the Giants are. All I'm saying is that the schedule gets easier. And yes, of course there are some teams that can give us a tough time, we have over 90 games left. Just because we have one of the easiest schedules remaining doesn't mean we are playing the A's and Royals every day. There are some tough teams mixed in with those 90 remaining games, obviously.
  3. From May 9th through June 19th we have been going through the gauntlet. Not a single game against a team that is currently under .500 for a 6 week stretch. We close out the first half with home series against the A's, Giants and Red Sox and then road series with the White Sox and Tigers. Yeah the Sox and Giants aren't bad but that's two series against .500-ish teams and 3 series against dogshit teams. With the majority of the games at home. It definitely softens up. Frankly from now until the end of the season the schedule softens up a ton. There are several sites out there that use varying SOS metrics but most of them have us playing one of the harder ones so far and one of the easier ones the rest of the way.
  4. And if Elias is good as the O's fanboys think what's to stop him from bolting to a better org when they offer him more money? Cheap owners and a shithole town. There's a number of teams that could pry him away.
  5. Yeah I've been saying the same thing. Just getting frustrating to watch this continue for what feels like weeks now after his good start.
  6. Who are the 100% pro Blue Jays/Atkins posters?
  7. Today's game sucked. We had 8 hits, 2 homers and the exit velocity leaderboard was littered with Jays players but only 2 runs. I think we had 11 of the top 16 EVs today. Need to labor through these next two series and then the schedule softens up where we can hopefully go on a big run.
  8. Vlad put 3 balls into play today. 116.2 MPH exit velo with a 9 degree launch angle for a single. 112.1 MPH exit velo with a 9 degree launch angle for a single. 107.6 MPH exit velo with a -11 degree launch angle for a ground out. These were the 1st, 2nd and 4th hardest hit balls of the game (Hays' homer was 109). Danny Jansen's homers were 105.3 and 102 but because he hit the ball in the air they went out.
  9. 112.1 MPH exit velo on a ball at Vlad's shins lol
  10. Good AB Biggio. Always liked that guy.
  11. Damn he just hit 99
  12. Yeah I was thinking it might be Pearson time
  13. Damn, Vlad's single was 116.2 off the bat
  14. Vlad is just totally lost. Give this dude a day off tomorrow.
  15. God dammit Kooch. paints the zone with two perfect pitches and then puts one right over the plate.
  16. He's immature. Just pressing and swinging at everything because he's frustrated. Zero approach to his ABs right now.
  17. For f***'s sake Vlad. Dude is totally lost out there.
  18. I'm guessing you'll be getting an Orioles hat and hoodie next?
  19. Danny Jansen showing off why pull dat ball works. 372 foot homer. Varsho's flyout was 394 and Whit's double was 365.
  20. James McCann batting 6th for the vaunted Baltimore Orioles
  21. Chapman fouled off two meatballs
