  1. Don't get too excited. The village welcher is the one that said you had charisma, not me (the highly respected Sheriff and #2 in command of Team Not Panicking Yet).
  2. It's tough to say what's happening behind the scenes. Though with the struggles what you are saying could be plausible. It does seem like we have too many voices in the room. Just on hitting alone we have: Offensive Coordinator- Mattingly Hitting Coach- Martinez Assistant Hitting Coach- Hague Assistant Hitting Coach- Mense But it's hard to know if all 4 are pulling in different directions or what. Could be they all suck. Or could be they are all great and the players just suck. I compared it to other teams and it seems like most of them have 3 hitting coaches of varying degrees. So having 4 isn't that out of whack.
  3. What do you mean by this? Not following
  4. His stuff is about the same from his last two MiLB starts. But if you follow through all of Nestico's posts, what I can gather is that Manoah has pretty average stuff and it has remained somewhat consistent, even during his struggles. The location and walks are what is killing him. It's hard to see how he was ever as good as he was with the stuff he had. But with good command, a solid fastball, a 4 pitch mix, and good extension he can be really good. Just needs that command to return.
  5. No, actually I was furious. He was officially CUT from Team Not Panicking after the Astros series a month ago. It was all very public after Spanky and I made the decision. Now he exists in this permanent semi-troll state (kind of like me) where idiots such as yourself take him far too seriously and end up making themselves mad online over someone's take on a baseball board. You probably missed all of this because you were on another time out after a zany rant for not being able to use the R and F words again.
  6. He's so wound up and nervous out there. He just won't be able to perform until he calms down. Taking wild hacks, horrible routes to the ball, etc.
  7. Pearson Fanboys are completely quiet after whining and crying about his demotion earlier this year
  8. Part of his problem is that the 3B/LF/2B types have been hitting okay. Factor in the "pinch hit penalty" where guys tend to hit worse as pinch hitters than they do otherwise, and there just isn't as big of a need to pinch hit with him. So now he's just rotting on the bench, not getting any reps, and then gets thrust into the lineup against a crafty veteran and looks like crap. If they are going to use the 26th man this little, just cut the guy loose and sign Billy Hamilton. He's 22 of 23 on steals attempts the last 3 years and can succeed as strictly a pinch runner.
  9. His spot on the team is questionable as is but they just do not put him in a position to succeed at all. He never plays, not even pinch hitting, and then they'll just randomly throw him in at the cleanup spot after not playing for two weeks. Under normal circumstances he probably is a decent option against Lugo, but it makes zero sense to expect him to produce as the cleanup hitter today.
  10. Fricking Sal Perez, gets a ground ball through the infield being in and talking s*** the hole time lol
  11. He's probably better than Buck IMO
  12. I love watching Bassit pitch Just looks miserable the whole time as he battles his pitchcom Kitchen sink arsenal allows him to blow 90 mph past guys
  13. I'd be tempted to start him Sunday against the Nats. We've got a ton of off days coming up so if he struggles we can go to the pen early and it shouldn't blow up our entire week.
  14. On top of this, our schedule seems like it's been pretty difficult so far. I bet the Stuff+ we have faced on the season is well above average. May's schedule looks far easier. 5 off days (compared to 3 in April) and 6 games against the White Sox. I bet the offense starts to look a lot better this month.
  15. I love how Vogelbach's butt is firmly planted on the bench as our 26th man. But when he does actually find his way into the lineup he's all of the sudden good enough to hit cleanup lol. It's got to be some sort of respect/deference thing to Vogelbach because it makes no sense otherwise. If he actually was good enough to bat cleanup he'd play more in a platoon and he'd be pinch hitting nearly every game but he doesn't. I suppose there could be something about Lugo's pitch mix that makes Vogelbach's bat play up?
  16. Yes I believe the April effect is a real thing but I think this April has been especially harsh on offense. Haven't seen any official numbers on that or anything but I have heard it mentioned.
  17. One thing about the offense that isn't getting mentioned is how depressed the offensive environment is right now. Jays have a .674 OPS and that's the 4th worst April in franchise history. But it's still good for a 98 wRC+.
  18. Not THAT upset about today's game tbh. Ragans was DEALING. 99 mph all game for him. Then the Royals used their two good relievers. Tomorrow we need to smack Lugo around though and win the series. Finally get some off days coming up.
  19. He's probably fine. His xwOBA is better than league average. He's mostly getting BABIP'd right now.
  20. You know he's going to try and throw fastballs by Turner
  21. Ragans is dealing tonight 98 mph on the corners
