    I'd be on the phone with the Giants. They are now .500 2.5 games back of a wild card. Zaidi is a smart GM. Rodon is a free agent at the end of this year. He's hit his innings limit so he can opt out of next year's option which he absolutely will. They are playing Arizona and the Cubs before the deadline. Games you need to win. They do their job and win they may be buyers. They stumble against those teams Rodon could be available.

    MLB has them with 6 top 100 prospects. When you can spend 100 to 200 mil more than most teams, why not trade all your prospects....lol

    There's no in-between with this guy. He's either really good, or really bad. Basically what the Mariner fans said he was..lol. I think it's more mental than anything with him. It is what it is. He's fine for a 5th starter, but we overpaid for him.

    I feel like the lesson learned here is if you have Stripling on the hill and he's battling and you're considering bringing in Thornton or Richards, just leave Stripling in the game.

    We have a depth issue at starting pitching too. I sacrifice a live chicken to ensure Manoah's, Gausman's and Berrios' health before every start. We have a bit of work to do at the trade deadline. Pearson definitely has the ability to help potentially both the bullpen and the rotation if one of the guys go down, but we need to make a couple trades. I'd try and get Robertson early because Chicago has no hope of the playoffs and how much could old man Robertson cost?
