    Vlad scorches it and it's an out. Teo laces one right at a guy. It's an out. .620 and .610 expected BA. Kick beats one into the ground and finds a hole with an expected BA of .160. That's baseball folks..lol

    There's a difference between hitting it hard and driving it into the ground and hitting it hard and it goes 90 feet before it hits the ground. Vlad deserved a hit there. Bad luck.

    He's pretty good and clearly basketball is his gig. The fact that he fits in so well despite not regularly calling ball is pretty impressive. He just brings some enthusiasm I like. Don't get me wrong, Shulman is amazing.

    Tapia has -.6 wins. Zimmer has -.2 wins but if he had the same number of plate appearances as Tapia he projects to have -.6 wins so basically same s*** different pile. I prefer almost any outfielder currently playing at Buffalo and one or two infielders, who I think could play the outfield, over both of them!

    Vlad isn't going to end this year with mediocre numbers. He may not have the numbers he had last year, but he will hit a homer again this year and his numbers will be very good!

    I totally understood the decision to use Romano last night, because I was pretty sure that Kikuchi would give the Jays 7 maybe even 8 innings today. Just bad luck.

    I have a rather unruly young child. I know, I'm the old Dad. My brother has flames season tickets lower bowl 5 rows up in the attacking end. Now how am I going to convince my wife I'm going drive to Calgary and go to the game on Friday.

    That was my first thought, but Kirk was catching today so it was either DH Jansen or Springer, so Springer makes sense. It feels awfully good to have Jansen to pinch hit for Tapia late in the game.

    That was tremendous execution by ryu getting a really weak ground ball. Don't sell him short. He did his part.

    Why don't we DFA Zimmer and give Taylor a look. He has speed for days, Teo can play center for the one day a week Springer needs to DH and Taylor can play the corner outfield spots. He may well be able to play center.

    I'm not saying the odds weren't in our favour. Rivera is considered by many the best closer ever and he converted 89% of his save opportunities. He blew 11% of them. It happens. To say he needs to get the job done implies he needs to be perfect and that's impossible. I'm sorry your favourite team lost last night. It happens.
