  1. He had a 15% walk rate last year and his walk rate was higher at AAA last year. Go grab yourself a drink. You're being a whiny little bitch tonight.
  2. I came on to post, nice to see Vlad get one. He needs it for his confidence and people are whining about him celebrating and no one acknowledges that he finally got a hit he desperately needed to get some confidence going...lol
  3. Lighten the f*** up. He does the same thing after every home run. I'm tired of people whining about Vlad having fun. It's his personality. It's not going to change, nor should it.
  4. it's the 6th inning. We need to get through some innings! If Bowden craps the bed tomorrow you need Espino to go several innings tomorrow.
  5. Yes, less worried about Springer. He's taking his walk and definitely had some loud outs. Really not worried about anyone at this point. When everyone is bad, they've probably faced some tough pitching.
  6. Vlad with a .766 OPS after 50 games. It's just unacceptable. Oh wait. It's only been 6 games. My bad. It's f***ing embarrassing to be complaining after 6 games..lol
  7. Babe had an .834 OPS against right handed pitching last year. Kids a stud. He might go 0 for 4 with 3 Ks some games, but he takes walks and when he makes contact he does damage. He's a doubles and home run hitter. We desperately need his power.
  8. Varsho blows....babe should be playing left tonight.
  9. So Manoah throws a SIM game tomorrow....
  10. I didn't like it either, but he seems like a good dude. Maybe a career year with the bat and a .700 OPS? That would be palatable.
  11. The biggest problem with this roster as currently constructed is we only need one of Varsho or KK in the field most days. We needed a power hitting offensive player beside the defensive wizard in center. That could have been done by trading Varsho and signing KK, or just not signing KK and getting a that power hitting left fielder. Varsho had a lot of trade value last offseason. After he replicates his offensive production again this year, most of that value will be gone. Schneider could be an .800+ OPS guy, but most days you'll see KK in center and Varsho in left and a glut of IKF, Schneider, Clement and Biggio fighting for playing time at 2nd/3rd. You hit a homer, you start next game! Hopefully.
  12. come on springer, you're due....three hard hit balls...hit it where they can't catch it...over the fence!
  13. lol...those were off season moves...too late.
  14. Yes, let's ignore the walk and the hit batter and the fact that Bassitt was struggling with his command and assume he would have struck out Lowe and not have given up a hit. That's not how baseball works either. He gave up a homer on a 1 and 1 count. Let me guess, the run he gave up in the 5th was due to pressure he had protecting a 3 run lead. We didn't put up zero's on offense inning after inning because of a Bo bichette error. When you don't score your chances are limited.
  15. He didn't blow the game on that single play. Tampa had 10 hits, 1 homer, 1 double and 3 walks. We had 6 hits, 1 homer, 1 double and 1 walk. The error did not help, but Tampa deserved the win. The point is, you need to learn more about baseball if you think that single play cost the Jays the game.
  16. He walked the first guy and hit the second, should have had a double play and the next guy hit a homer. How does Bassitt get out of the inning clean? He was always giving up at least 2. We gave up another in the 5th. Sure without Bo's miscues we lose by a couple runs, not 6. Who knows is an optimistic take on things.
  17. It's one game. If he's going to have 2 errors it may as well both be in one game in a game where we lose 8 to 2. I thought the 2nd error was harsh, because the throw wasn't that bad and most times Vladdy should have picked it. On to the next.
  18. wtf are you talking about? Go re-watch the play. That's not true at all.
  19. Vlad should have had that. Most first baseman would have. Long throws rushed like that get skipped in all the time.
  20. 2 runs....let's not be over dramatic.
  21. nice AB Vlad. Take the walks.
  22. 38 more homers to go Springer!
  23. This is the year! It's so hard to say man. I hope Nate figures it out. He battled a lot of injuries and had such high expectations. So far so good through game 1. Time will tell.
  24. Has there been a move the last 8 years where you haven't immediately proclaimed it as being great and the obviously correct decision? Have you actually disagreed with any move this front office has made? I'm not going to lose any sleep over this decision. It's highly likely Parsons or Zulueta have much service time. Parsons is 31 with bad command, average velocity and avg spin rates. Zulueta has above average fastball velocity and above average spin rates on his off speed offerings and he's 26. He also has bad command. I'd have rather seen Pop or Danner on the Roster until Swanson or Romano come back. The Wes Parsons experience is not going to be a fun one if one of those 2 don't get back soon.
