The TTC is a joke. For a major city, there should be more than just two subway lines. It's crazy and makes it so difficult to get across the city.
The best public transit I've seen was in Melbourne and Sydney.
There are some shitholes in Canada. Who would want to live in some east coast towns, or places in BC where crime rates are through the roof? I prefer Montreal to Toronto (my opinion) and I heard Vancouver was a beautiful city as well (never been) though from what I've heard it sounds better than Toronto.
Other places like Hamilton, Ottawa, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary - I'm sure Toronto is a lot better.
If you lived in NYC, there is no need to own a car.
London traffic I heard is pretty bad. Also, traffic in LA I heard is the worst.
Also imagine Tokyo.
Yeah I told one of my friends that I wanted to go to South Africa, and she told me look at how dangerous it is so I typed out the most dangerous cities in the world on Google, and St. Louis appeared in the Top 50 lol.
The ballparks look beautiful, not denying that. They are both great baseball cities. St. Louis is one of the worst cities in the States, along with Baltimore and Detroit. Look it up as well lol.
I've been to Cincy to see the Jays play back in 2011 and the city is an absolute ghost town. There is hardly anything to do there and most of the city is sketch. You have to cross the bridge to go to Newport Kentucky, which is a nice area for bars, restaurants etc.
Not compared to places like Detroit, Cincy, Cleveland, Baltimore, Atlanta, St. Louis, Minnesota, Milwaukee. Heck I'd even say LA is pretty much a dump, unless you go outside the city.
He's the most babied pitcher in baseball.
- He needs a personal catcher in Josh Thole who is awful and essentially limits the Jays to 24-man rosters. And its not like Dickey has been that effective with Thole behind the plate anyways.
- He needs the dome closed. I remember back in May, it was a gorgeous night and the roof was closed because guess who was pitching? And the Jays lost.
- He's inconsistent and isn't the ace the front office thought he was - which pisses me off since they paid top dollar for him in trade when they could have used those assets the previous offseason to trade for a Gio Gonzalez, Mat Latos etc. Dickey is a reliable starter - I don't mind him as a No. 3 since he could put together a solid stretch of starts and eats inning, though paying the price of an ace for a No. 3 starter is a massive fail by the front office.
Speaking of catchers, Yan Gomes has a 4 WAR this season so far. I remember shopping him back earlier this season, and nobody wanted him. I sent him in a package for somebody back in July - either for Brantley or Cruz. He's definitely been useful in fantasy this season.
I'm rostering Tomlin in the Premier League as an extra BP guy (SP eligibility). His K/9 is intriguing. Wouldn't give up much for him in the DDL however since I likely doubt he'd be a keeper for next season.
Quebec City should definitely get their team back.
Not sure if the Leafs will allow another team in or around Toronto. Didn't they want to move a team to Hamilton, and it got refused?
I'd likely deal Yelich for a healthy CarGo. I don't think Yelich at his peak ever reaches CarGo's level. The thing I like about Yelich is the kid knows how to get on-base and he'll likely grow into some more power down the road.
Just off the top of my head, I'd still take these guys over CarGo when healthy in dynasty:
Trout
Miguel Cabrera
Stanton
Cutch
Tulo
Goldy
Harper
Braun
