As much as I start to think, I wouldn't be shocked to see the Blue Jays resign Melky - he fits AA's policy of not going more than 5 years on FA's, since I doubt Melky gets more than 5 years on the open market. It's definitely a possibility.

This was a problem for me in multiple leagues this year. Guys like Castro, Stanton, Beltran, Morse etc were holding up roster spots when they weren't going to play again.

I've had some hits on Starlin Castro and Troy Tulowitzki - I'm willing to trade one in the right deal. Also, could dangle some young pitching like Wily Peralta and other pieces.

All I stated was how Chacin was a valuable asset prior to this season. He was a young and upcoming arm in Colorado - look at his 2010, 2011 and 2013 seasons. I just said I liked his arm when healthy and I wouldn't be shocked to see him bounce back moving forward. Right now, I agree Shoemaker after the season he came off of has more trade value and as a team competing I'd rather have Shoemaker than Chacin on Opening Day 2015, no doubt. Though it wouldn't shock me to see Shoemaker regressing some next season, and it wouldn't shock me as well to see Chacin bounce back if he's healthy. Just offering input and my opinion, which seems to be according to you "talking out of my ass" which I don't appreciate and then suggesting I should quit this league? Look, I'm just dropping this discussion right now since it's going nowhere but just arguing back and forth which I don't want to do. I like to have argumentative discussions, though when you question my integrity and suggest I quit, then thats quite low. I have nothing else to say. As for wanting to punch me in the face during a live draft - I don't think that was a case at all this year during any of the baseball, football, hockey and basketball drafts I did. If you want to punch me in the face, then I invite you to take a punch if that makes you feel better!

If Chacin is available in the waiver draft, I'd definitely consider taking him. As for talking out of my ass, do some research Mr. Know It All! Chacin was solid in 2010, 2011 and 2013, and considering his age and upside, he was a valuable asset. I had managers asking about him during and after 2013 - even in another 20-team dynasty league with 40 man rosters. Sure his value has slipped tremendously this season with performance and injuries, though I'd be willing to roll the dice on him if he's available in the waiver draft.

Yup, Chacin was ranked 196th last season and I'm sure he was higher in 2010 and 2011.

Before the 2014 season, I'm sure everyone in this league would have taken Chacin over Shoemaker. I'm saying if healthy, Chacin has a good live arm and could possibly be a better asset moving forward.

I'm not sticking up for anybody. I'm just expressing my opinions. Shoemaker came out of nowhere this season as a 28-year-old and I'm not sure he'll continue with that success moving forward. Chacin has had several successful years in the bigs already, and is two years younger. Depends on your strategy and personal preferences. If I'm competing, I'd probably roll the dice on Shoemaker since he's coming off a better season and pitches on a better team. If Chacin is healthy, I've always liked his arm.
