  1. Yeah your pitching carried you for the entire season! Just when I glanced at your roster, I couldn't believe how your team had done so well with guys like Butler, Jennings, Headley, Braun, Xander, Trumbo, Choo, Ramos all underachieving or with injuries. If those guys were playing to expectations, just imagine...
  2. Don't take this the wrong way, though how did your team make the playoffs with all those injuries and underachieving performances? Your pitching was rock solid though so I'm sure that was your biggest key. And you never had Abreu until the last week of August which makes it even more unbelievable.
  3. Wow somebody used a waiver claim on Rubby De La Rosa.
  4. I don't think she's related to Mike Wilner - I just typed his name on google and a pic of her showed up from pinterest or something lol. She's pretty hot though.

  8. I agree, just stating the rationale behind Wilner's argument. It seems like young arm prospects are always in demand, more than positional player prospects to an extent. If you trade them at the right time, and maximize on their value - thats ideal. For example, Aaron Sanchez probably right now is at his highest value. If Sanchez goes out next year and goes all Bauer out of the rotation, his value takes a big hit.
  9. Interesting read: http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/2014-trade-value-the-top-10/
  10. It depends. His argument does have some rationale. I'd rather have multitude of cheap young arms and if time came to shove to spend on free agency, I'd rather spend money on the bats rather than arms. It depends. Not every positional player pans out - look at Beckham, Snider, Ackely, Montero, Hermida, etc. I think young arms like a Sanchez or Stroman would have more trade value than lets say a hitting prospect like Nick Castellanos in real life.
  11. $12M AAV is very reasonable, though do you think he holds that value later on in the deal? He's going to be 32 next season.
  12. Yeah I think 3 years worth $36 million is the benchmark. Likely could get more though...
  13. Maybe check out Wonderland on the weekend - it's usually not that busy in the fall months and they have great coasters. If you want to drive out to Hamilton, check if the Ti-Cats are in town. They just built a new stadium which is beautiful. Also, you could drive to Buffalo on the Sunday if the Bills are playing at home. Also, Woodbine is fun on the weekends, either Saturday or Sunday. I know the Ricoh Mile next Sunday which is a big stake race.
  14. You have Kershaw, Zimmerman, Verlander, Weaver and Gallardo making 2 starts next week. I don't want to face you.
  15. It's pretty cool how Iwakuma and Hughes are doing it in the same season.
  16. Why? Hughes is only 28 years old.
  17. I wanted to pickup Carrasco in the FC league, ugh oh well missed that boat!

Bills have some offensive weapons, agree with Kev. They likely will finish around .500 though. Don't see them being a threat. Lets go Panthers!
  19. MLSE fired a bunch of TFC coaching staff for their awful play in the summer and falling out of contention. I'm wondering if Rogers will do the same with the Blue Jays eventually?
  20. Yeah its definitely worth it. Streaming games is easy either on the XBOX or PS4 and you can also stream games on the computer, tablet, phone. All games are archived so you can go back and watch games you missed. It's only $129/year for the Premium subscription - a lot better than some others like the NFL which is $275. I'd recommend it over getting the sports pack, since when baseball is on, usually the NBA and NHL are entering the playoffs so those games are all televised on cable so you'd be paying the $33 per month just for baseball. MLBTV makes more sense.

I might get that instead then. It works out to be a lot better price than NFL Gamepass. I had it for MLB before, though I never used it much for the other stuff. I figure its best to get it during NFL, NBA and NHL season then since their are more games on. I want to follow the Panthers this year and I'll watch some other games as well, though paying that price for NFL Gamepass is absurd.

I saw it as well. That's absurd. I thought it was going to be something like MLBTV around $120-$130, though when I saw it was $275 for a year I said forget it. Or payments of $70 something for 4 months.
  23. Valencia as a starting third baseman would be a mistake. If AA is serious about that, then they are mismanaging their roster. Valencia is a great bat to platoon with Lind since he could also play 3B, 1B and LF in emergency, so he'd be valuable on the bench as well when Lind is in the starting lineup. If they want to go cheap, I'm sure someone like Denorfia won't break the bank, same Aoki and Smith. As for help either at 2B or 3B, I could see Headley being a bit pricey, though I'm sure Cabrera, Drew, or Lowrie could be acquired at a decent price.
