  1. There is enough space for a new ballpark and a casino at Ontario Place. I'd be down for that. Seriously the spot is going to waste.
  2. Ontario Place is the best spot seriously.
  3. Ontario Place would be a great place to put a new ballpark right along the lake. Like the property isn't even being used other than for the Molson Amphitheatre. Rogers should really consider buying parts of the land from the city. Rogers could even build like a mini-strip with restaurants, bars, shops etc. outside of the ballpark. They'd make loads of money as I'm sure almost any major restaurant/bar chain would want to get a spot in there. Lot's of parking around there and at the Ex, so could tailgate etc. Could still easily get there via public transit: GO Trains, buses, streetcars from Union or Dufferin.

  5. Why was he banned this time around?
  6. Coors Field is next on my TDL one summer hopefully. Denver looks like a real cool city.
  7. 1) Add Grass 2) Make the upper levels much more easily accessible (like Matt said) by adding some large escalators alongside the ramps if possible. 3) The idea of a standing room bar area or food market (works so well in other ballparks like Cleveland, Seattle etc). 4) Maybe allow more Gate entrances on the 100 level (I find going through security at the Rogers Centre really slow in comparison to other ballparks). 5) Expand the 100 level concourse somehow even if it means taking out some seats (I find for games that are near sellouts, its way too packed). 6) Agree with BB about 100 level baseline seats. 7) As for the bullpens, maybe could make the standing room bar area close to the bullpens if possible. **I'd definitely restructure the bullpen configurations by maybe putting both on one side of the field, which then could open up the other side either for more seats/bars etc. Though I do think the bullpen setup should definitely be changed.** This might sound far fetched: though would be cool if they could add glass windows or roof (similar to Milwaukee/Arizona) to make it feel more like a ballpark even when the roof is closed. Not sure that could happen and I assume it would be crazy expensive.
  8. If he could go back to hitting 35-40 HR's/100 RBI with a .900 OPS with a 130-150 wRC+, he could easily get $20-22M AAV on a one or two year deal, even at age 37. If I were Bautista's agent, there is no point in holding out for a 3 year deal worth $65-70 million right now since that doesn't exist and I wouldn't even advise him to take a 3/45 deal right now. I'd encourage him to sign a 1 year deal worth $15-17 million to rebuild his value, and if he returns to some part of his previous form, then he could get $20-22M AAV possibly on a two-year deal (worse case on a one-year deal + incentives or/and club option) and then continue to go year-to-year at around that same AAV if he still is a productive bat. Similar to what Boston has done with Ortiz. So lets say if he plays for the next 5 years as a 1B/DH and hits like he has, he likely will eclipse $100 million in salary over those next 5 years. All he has to do is produce like Ortiz did into his late 30's and its definitely possible he ends up getting close to the $125 million he was asking for, only just on a year-to-year basis.
  9. His ego might get in the way of him signing a 1/15 deal with the Blue Jays. I could definitely see that happening. Bautista would rather sign a 1/15 contract with another team over Toronto if it comes down to that. Only other team I think that would make sense is Texas. They signed Ian Desmond later last offseason to a 1 year deal. I could see
  10. I think you can get away with playing him maybe 50-60 games in a corner outfield spot if need be without exposing him too much. If the Jays get someone like Fowler, then Bautista really only see's playing time in LF on occasion (if Jays can't find a solid option to platoon with Upton) or RF when one of the regulars have a day off. Don't know why he wouldn't just want to stick as a DH and play occasionally in the field moving forward. Better for him to stay healthy and aging DH's who were able to still rake into their late 30's like Ortiz, Beltran etc. have been able to land lucrative short term contracts.
  11. Wouldn't shock me if Jose ends up taking a 1 year deal worth $15-16 million from the Blue Jays in late January, especially if EE signs elsewhere and if the team hasn't brought in another solid corner outfielder/DH bat.
  12. Yeah I would think he'd be able to easily get 3/45 from someone as a 1B/DH if Morales got 3/33. Like you said, he's probably looking at $20M per season on a 3-4 year deal.

  14. Yup, he'll be the 2017 version of Mark Trumbo for them.

That was a great Grey Cup game!
  16. Bud Norris looks like Adam Devine so I approve.
  17. Could move one of Dexter Fowler, Randal Grichuk, or Starling Marte.
  18. Yeah its a good buy low on Ramos from BTS. If I had the roster space and a need behind the plate, I easily would have parted with the 2nd round pick as well.
  19. Ok take out the Ferrari, make it only one custom made suit, make it one escort for every week, and the Blue Jays season tickets in the 500 level. Not as outrageous anymore.
  20. My ideal Christmas shopping list: Buy a 70 inch 4K flat screen TV Buy a new Ferrari Buy 10 new custom made suits Hire the most expensive escorts for every night in December Buy & drink Hennessy XO Cognac every night Purchase Blue Jays season tickets right behind home plate
  21. Martin was a big reason as to why the Blue Jays made the postseason the past two years.
  22. Martin likely would get a 3 year deal worth $40-45 million as a FA if he were on the market. Plus with salaries going up every year, 3/60 is probably very fair for Martin over the next 3 years as long as he stays healthy.
  23. If the Jays could sign Pearce for 2/12 or 2/15, I'd be really happy.
  24. I needed a catcher pretty badly especially with Norris & Salty as my only two options currently on the roster. I added some pitching at the deadline with Nola & Gray so I had the SP depth to make this swap.
