  1. Buying on a game to game basis when I feel like going down to a game. Might scoop up some single game tickets during the first day of ticket sales to some of the bigger games like the Home Opener, Canada Day game, and some premium weekend games in the summer. Otherwise, for games in April/May & most weeknight games, I'll just buy tickets for less off StubHub. Also, looking to go to Chicago in August to see the Cubs series, so will be trying to buy those the first day when Cubs tickets go on sale in February.
  2. They had a lot of holes in the rotation last offseason so they signed Happ and Estrada pretty early in the offseason. They have a lot of holes in the lineup this offseason, so they signed Morales who might not be the best option, though is better than being left empty handed. Wouldn't shock me if we see the Jays sign a corner outfielder in the next couple of days as well.
  3. We've seen Shapiro & Atkins move fast in the offseason so far during their tenure locking up players due to the risk of them losing out on other bigger names and/or paying higher prices. They did the same thing with Happ and Estrada last season to shore up the rotation early. They did the same thing in August when resigning Smoak (which I was totally against). Wouldn't shock me if they try and lock up a corner outfielder over the next couple of days following this move. Seems like this front office is more worried about having security around the roster.
  4. He's a switch hitter and moving to a ballpark like Toronto can definitely improve his numbers. Likely just to stick as the DH hopefully. 11M/3 years is a lot better than spending $25 M on EE for 5 years.
  5. I'd still look at Beltran as a DH & part-time corner outfielder. Would be a perfect fit for this lineup. Likely would take a 2 year deal in the $36-40 million range. Matt Holliday could be really interesting as a DH/1B as well. Wonder if Tulo can help recruit him to play here. A one year deal worth $12-15 million might be able to get him here. I know Beltran and Holliday are old, though both can at least still provide above average production if healthy and only require a short term commitment versus resigning EE at 5 years.
  6. My team sucks.
  7. I can't take the MLS seriously.
  8. This is good news.
  9. 1) Holliday or Beltran as a DH 2) Dexter Fowler 3) Brett Cecil 4) Neftali Feliz 5) Alex Avila 6) Trade for Lucas Duda 7) Coco Crisp
  10. I watched it on FOX last night.
  11. I found when I was in Cleveland for Game 1 & 2 of the ALCS, most of the fans in Cleveland were very friendly and welcoming. Some even came up to us in bars before the game asking if we drove from Toronto, have we ever been to Cleveland before and even said they think it'll be a tough series. There were some idiots who would heckle you, though you just ignore them. Otherwise, I found there fanbase to be quite friendly.
  12. If the game was at Wrigley and the Cubs walked off in extras, just imagine how crazy it would be. Probably would go down as one of the best baseball games ever.
  13. I don't really care who wins. Just want to see a great game that is close throughout the entire 9 innings. Don't want a blowout like yesterday.
  14. If anyone is looking to get fantasy baseball dynasty league experience, there are some openings in the FC. Just something to consider to see if you like the dynasty format. Could be a recruiting ground for the other main leagues - BORED, LOD, DDL etc. in the future, since then some posters would be able to build up their fantasy baseball profile/resume before jumping into a bigger league.
  15. I heard the Legoland in Vaughn is pretty bad. The Legoland's in Munich and in Denmark are supposed to be really awesome though.
  16. Some Lego sets are really cool. The DC Comic, Marvel, Star Wars, LOTR sets are pretty sick. Some sets are pretty damn expensive though.

Ah I know, sorry if I'm pissing off people. Don't mean to be annoying. My friend hasn't been able to make some of these games early on in the season, so its more of a last minute thing. Plus a lot of their games early on are played at the ACC. First 5 of 6 games are at home. I'll sell games to you guys at my SSH price, so not looking to making a profit.
  18. Not a fan of Neshek close to 7M. Ruiz would be interesting as a backup. Offensively he is not Thole which is a plus and he can call a great game behind the plate.

If anyone wants to avoid handing out candy tonight to kids & instead want tickets for tonights game, let me know before 5PM. Tickets are pretty cheap for tonight ($40 each/$80 for the pair), so if interested send me a PM.
  20. Thought having a No. 1 goalie now in Bishop would at least make me a competitive team this season, though doesn't look like the case after the first two weeks.

I hope Powell doesn't become the new James Johnson in Dwayne Casey's book.

Ah good things are going on with Cleveland sports teams right now, so why not? Plus, the Jets suck anyways so its possible.
  23. Could possibly hurt his market this offseason if teams are hesitant to part with a draft pick for him. Wouldn't shock me if he resigned with the Blue Jays or signed with another team for $10-12 million on a one-year deal closer to spring training if he doesn't get the contract he is looking for.

Yeah they're my season seats (Sec 320, Row 6). This game is a Tier 1 game, so prices are pretty jacked up. Most games are in the $50-60 range, some even $40 depending on date/opponent. Face value my seats are $176 for todays game, though I only paid $115 as a SSH. So I'd sell them at my SSH price since I know you guys on the board.
