  1. From the looks of it, the Jays won't be able to trade for a top RF like Kole Calhoun or Jarrod Dyson. Fowler already signed with the Cards and Eaton was traded to the Nats. Curtis Granderson would be a nice fit, though I doubt he'll get moved. If the market for both Jose Bautista and EE are that bad, it wouldn't hurt to bring both back. If Bautista would take a 1/15 and EE maybe could only get 2/45, those are bargains. Plus the Jays are familiar with both players and know what to expect when both are healthy. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to add balance to this lineup and as well improve the OF defense though it seems like those options are dwindling. If they can't add an outfielder like that, I'd rather just have Jose Bautista back over someone like Jay Bruce. Jays likely would have a similar lineup as last season which is heavily right-handed. Lineup would still be good to get through the season and they would be able to bash against the bad teams. Then at the trade deadline, focus on adding a left-handed bat who could play an outfield spot. This would be the lineup, which is still pretty darn good: 2B Devon Travis 3B Josh Donaldson RF Jose Bautista 1B Edwin Encarnacion DH Kendrys Morales SS Troy Tulowitzki LF Steve Pearce C Russell Martin CF Kevin Pillar BN Melvin Upton Jr BN Justin Smoak BN backup catcher BN Darwin Barney
  2. Not bad if its true. Cleveland connection for Shapiro & Atkins.
  3. Close to moving Starling Marte. Have two teams with offers on the table, so if interested send me a PM.
  4. Just curious, was Josh Hamilton released by Texas? So he'd be a free agent correct? Wouldn't be a bad guy to sign on a minor league deal, though he probably prefers an American team.
  5. Defensively, he'd be solid in a corner OF spot, does have some power and could have success if used strictly against RHP.
  6. Sign Bautista to a 1 or 2 year deal and sign Rasmus to platoon with Upton, or trade for Dyson. Would rather have Rasmus over Saunders anyways.
  7. Tim & Sid are really casual fans. They're entertaining to watch and for the most part they do have good discussions on many sports topics, though I was throwing up at the stuff they were saying about Eaton on today's show. Like Sid was even saying "Adam Eaton is a guy that always is hanging on the waiver wire in my league."
  8. Happy Birthday Jonn.
  9. Boxy's team looks like it could it be scary good next season if all his young players come through. All he needs are elite arms. Don't have those for Correa, and the only pieces I'm sure you'd be interested in are Freeman or Arenado from my squad.
  10. Most teams probably asked for names like Sanchez, Stroman or Travis when it came to talks on guys like Sale, Eaton, Blackmon and others.
  11. Could possibly entertain moving him in the LOD since I have SS depth.
  12. Rockies need a 1B. Stupid on their part.
  13. Bruce Oberholtzer is the new Bruce Tallet.
  14. Probably. It would either be him or Travis as leadoff. Seems like the Royals really want to get rid of him and that they don't appreciate his true value. What do you think it would cost to acquire him? I agree he can be signed to a team-friendly extension (something in the range of 2/12M).
  15. It wouldn't shock me if Bautista put up better offensive numbers over EE if healthy. I don't mind Bautista playing 50-60 games in LF, 50-60 games at 1B and the rest at DH. Obviously the less time he's in the outfield, the better.
  16. Jose Bautista is not a bad Plan B option if Dexter Fowler can't be signed. Signing both I think would be ideal, since it would only cost money instead of prospects. I think if the Jays fail to sign Fowler, don't retain one of Bautista or EE, and fail to make a big trade for Adam Eaton etc., that would be a huge PR disaster. They need to at least sign one of those players. Lineup with Fowler & Bautista would be pretty darn good: RF Fowler 3B Donaldson LF/DH Bautista SS Tulowitzki 1B/DH Morales 1B/DH/LF Pearce 2B Travis C Martin CF Pillar If they can't sign Fowler, then I hope they could trade for either Adam Eaton or Jarrod Dyson.

He only has two years left of control which definitely plays a factor. As well, it seems like the Kings have been shopping him for the last 18 months now for an obvious reason and I'm sure other teams are aware of the risk that comes with Cousins. It definitely would have to involve JV + Ross or Powell + high draft picks no doubt.

Cousins is a legit scoring threat...

They need Cousins if they want to have a chance at beating Cleveland.
  20. Grant is probably very angry right now!
  21. Called up Patrick Laine. My season turns around starting tomorrow!
  22. RF Fowler 3B Donaldson 1B/DH Holliday SS Tulowitzki 1B/DH Morales 2B Travis C Martin LF Dyson/Upton CF Pillar Definitely a solid lineup.
  23. Dyson would be a nice guy to have around as a platoon bat/4th outfielder. Much better than Revere IMO. Edit: just looked at his stats on Fangraphs now and wow. Guy has posted 1.4, 2.5, 3.0, 1.8, and 3.1 WAR since 2012. And thats with limited playing time. I thought only last season was his real breakout season, but he's been really good for the last 5 years.

It varies per game since they use dynamic pricing. Like tonight's seats are $66 for SSH ($100 face value). Some other games could be $46 or $37, while the higher tiered games are $91 and $115 (e.g. vs Cleveland and Golden State). Seats are in Sec 320, Row 6 so close to centre court and not to far up. Really good value for upper bowl seats.
  25. Yeah I think the Astros could use one more front end starter to make them the team to beat in the AL. Chris Archer or Jose Quintana would be nice fits and they have the assets to swing such a deal. Astros will be a fun team to watch in 2017.
