  1. Called up Patrick Laine. My season turns around starting tomorrow!
  2. RF Fowler 3B Donaldson 1B/DH Holliday SS Tulowitzki 1B/DH Morales 2B Travis C Martin LF Dyson/Upton CF Pillar Definitely a solid lineup.
  3. Dyson would be a nice guy to have around as a platoon bat/4th outfielder. Much better than Revere IMO. Edit: just looked at his stats on Fangraphs now and wow. Guy has posted 1.4, 2.5, 3.0, 1.8, and 3.1 WAR since 2012. And thats with limited playing time. I thought only last season was his real breakout season, but he's been really good for the last 5 years.

It varies per game since they use dynamic pricing. Like tonight's seats are $66 for SSH ($100 face value). Some other games could be $46 or $37, while the higher tiered games are $91 and $115 (e.g. vs Cleveland and Golden State). Seats are in Sec 320, Row 6 so close to centre court and not to far up. Really good value for upper bowl seats.
  5. Yeah I think the Astros could use one more front end starter to make them the team to beat in the AL. Chris Archer or Jose Quintana would be nice fits and they have the assets to swing such a deal. Astros will be a fun team to watch in 2017.
  6. Expensive seats are never that easy to resell, especially when against bad teams or on a weeknight. Same thing with mainly any sports team like the Leafs and even the Raptors, which is why I got upper level seats instead of lower bowl for my Raps season tickets.
  7. Sign him to a similar contract Charlie Morton just got, even slightly more. He'd be a perfect pickup and would be insurance for 2018 with Estrada and Liriano as FA's. We've seen Shapiro and Atkins make moves that cover them for the following year if they know they might have holes there, so Ross does make sense. As well, Rubby De La Rosa would be a nice target as well as a spot starter/long reliever.
  8. I'm sure he'll still get 400-500 AB's from either behind the plate, 1B, DH and LF.

If anybody wants tickets to tonights Raps game vs. Atlanta, send me a PM. Will sell at my season seat holder price.
  10. I wish. The land at Ontario Place isn't being used, so kind of makes sense as a spot if they were going to build a new ballpark, though doubt that happens in the next 10 years.
  11. Ontario Place is the next best bet.
  12. Would actually be nice to make a play for both Stephen Vogt and Sean Doolittle if possible.
  13. What are your thoughts on Stephen Vogt? Can be a backup catcher, play LF (platoon with Upton) and 1B. Could see the A's trading him if he gets expensive in arbitration. Would be a nice fit here in the Jays lineup.
  14. I'm sure they can add an extension to the street car lines, and that they could run extra express buses from Union Station and the GO Station. Driving down would be a lot easier as well. As for walkup traffic, everything is done online these days so if people who work downtown want to go to the game after work, they can just go online and purchase them. And with every game almost being a sellout in the summer months, they really don't need to depend on walkup crowds to fill up the ballpark. Also, there is enough space to add like a boardwalk Wrigleyville type area with bars/restaurants etc. right on the water. You can get awesome views from Ontario Place for sure. It would be a perfect spot for a new ballpark. The Don Lands are way too far out there and tough to get to by public transit.
  15. There is enough space for a new ballpark and a casino at Ontario Place. I'd be down for that. Seriously the spot is going to waste.
  16. Ontario Place is the best spot seriously.
  17. Ontario Place would be a great place to put a new ballpark right along the lake. Like the property isn't even being used other than for the Molson Amphitheatre. Rogers should really consider buying parts of the land from the city. Rogers could even build like a mini-strip with restaurants, bars, shops etc. outside of the ballpark. They'd make loads of money as I'm sure almost any major restaurant/bar chain would want to get a spot in there. Lot's of parking around there and at the Ex, so could tailgate etc. Could still easily get there via public transit: GO Trains, buses, streetcars from Union or Dufferin.

  19. Why was he banned this time around?
  20. Coors Field is next on my TDL one summer hopefully. Denver looks like a real cool city.
  21. 1) Add Grass 2) Make the upper levels much more easily accessible (like Matt said) by adding some large escalators alongside the ramps if possible. 3) The idea of a standing room bar area or food market (works so well in other ballparks like Cleveland, Seattle etc). 4) Maybe allow more Gate entrances on the 100 level (I find going through security at the Rogers Centre really slow in comparison to other ballparks). 5) Expand the 100 level concourse somehow even if it means taking out some seats (I find for games that are near sellouts, its way too packed). 6) Agree with BB about 100 level baseline seats. 7) As for the bullpens, maybe could make the standing room bar area close to the bullpens if possible. **I'd definitely restructure the bullpen configurations by maybe putting both on one side of the field, which then could open up the other side either for more seats/bars etc. Though I do think the bullpen setup should definitely be changed.** This might sound far fetched: though would be cool if they could add glass windows or roof (similar to Milwaukee/Arizona) to make it feel more like a ballpark even when the roof is closed. Not sure that could happen and I assume it would be crazy expensive.
  22. If he could go back to hitting 35-40 HR's/100 RBI with a .900 OPS with a 130-150 wRC+, he could easily get $20-22M AAV on a one or two year deal, even at age 37. If I were Bautista's agent, there is no point in holding out for a 3 year deal worth $65-70 million right now since that doesn't exist and I wouldn't even advise him to take a 3/45 deal right now. I'd encourage him to sign a 1 year deal worth $15-17 million to rebuild his value, and if he returns to some part of his previous form, then he could get $20-22M AAV possibly on a two-year deal (worse case on a one-year deal + incentives or/and club option) and then continue to go year-to-year at around that same AAV if he still is a productive bat. Similar to what Boston has done with Ortiz. So lets say if he plays for the next 5 years as a 1B/DH and hits like he has, he likely will eclipse $100 million in salary over those next 5 years. All he has to do is produce like Ortiz did into his late 30's and its definitely possible he ends up getting close to the $125 million he was asking for, only just on a year-to-year basis.
  23. His ego might get in the way of him signing a 1/15 deal with the Blue Jays. I could definitely see that happening. Bautista would rather sign a 1/15 contract with another team over Toronto if it comes down to that. Only other team I think that would make sense is Texas. They signed Ian Desmond later last offseason to a 1 year deal. I could see
  24. I think you can get away with playing him maybe 50-60 games in a corner outfield spot if need be without exposing him too much. If the Jays get someone like Fowler, then Bautista really only see's playing time in LF on occasion (if Jays can't find a solid option to platoon with Upton) or RF when one of the regulars have a day off. Don't know why he wouldn't just want to stick as a DH and play occasionally in the field moving forward. Better for him to stay healthy and aging DH's who were able to still rake into their late 30's like Ortiz, Beltran etc. have been able to land lucrative short term contracts.
  25. Wouldn't shock me if Jose ends up taking a 1 year deal worth $15-16 million from the Blue Jays in late January, especially if EE signs elsewhere and if the team hasn't brought in another solid corner outfielder/DH bat.
