From the looks of it, the Jays won't be able to trade for a top RF like Kole Calhoun or Jarrod Dyson. Fowler already signed with the Cards and Eaton was traded to the Nats. Curtis Granderson would be a nice fit, though I doubt he'll get moved. If the market for both Jose Bautista and EE are that bad, it wouldn't hurt to bring both back. If Bautista would take a 1/15 and EE maybe could only get 2/45, those are bargains. Plus the Jays are familiar with both players and know what to expect when both are healthy. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to add balance to this lineup and as well improve the OF defense though it seems like those options are dwindling. If they can't add an outfielder like that, I'd rather just have Jose Bautista back over someone like Jay Bruce. Jays likely would have a similar lineup as last season which is heavily right-handed. Lineup would still be good to get through the season and they would be able to bash against the bad teams. Then at the trade deadline, focus on adding a left-handed bat who could play an outfield spot.
This would be the lineup, which is still pretty darn good:
2B Devon Travis
3B Josh Donaldson
RF Jose Bautista
1B Edwin Encarnacion
DH Kendrys Morales
SS Troy Tulowitzki
LF Steve Pearce
C Russell Martin
CF Kevin Pillar
BN Melvin Upton Jr
BN Justin Smoak
BN backup catcher
BN Darwin Barney
