  1. Exactly. So if you're knowledgeable and have a system it's easy money! Not that I think you can get rich, more just about getting some beer money taking advantage of terrible opening lines IMO.
  2. I can't get behind Pillar/Pompey/Smoak getting more ABs than Saunders, but to each their own I guess.
  3. So you'd either bat Saunders 6th or 9th? He's not a #9 hitter...
  4. Yeah. I'd imagine he might be dropped when Nathan comes back shortly though. But part of me is really pulling for A Rod.
  5. Just did a reactionary pickup for him in my league... Cecil was getting dropped soon anyways.
  6. Unless he does really poorly this year you probably keep him. He's one of the most likely pitchers to hit over 200 IP, even as he ages. Depends on their payroll restrictions/thoughts about EE/Bautista though.
  7. I would like to know if it's better than the crappy Pizza Pizza app.
  8. Noted on the Travis throw, I didn't fully remember so that's fair enough. Yeah the actual stats you cited don't mean anything, it's more about how their at bats have been so far and Smoak hasn't been noticeably better. Given that he was terrible last year, I don't think you can just gift him everyday ABs against RHP.
  9. Neither player is very good, Smoak played yesterday and didn't he bobble a ball? Also Martin's looked completely terrible at the plate, put him lower until he puts together some good ABs IMO.
  10. Well, that's not the only way to evaluate them early. Maybe you're an xFIP only kind of guy which is ok if that's the only stat you give a s*** about. Looks like it'll be more of the same: Hutch will be inconsistent, Buehrle/Dickey will be reliable but not great and Norris is a wild card who could be nice to have. As for Sanchez I think you just let Estrada get some starts for now.
  11. Looked fine vs the Red Sox. Jury is not still out. He's a stud pitcher with some health concerns.
  12. Now I will agree! Way higher floor than Sanchez. Let Sanchez develop more he's only 22 lots of time for him still.
  13. That's a good point. A lot of us remain Leafs fans. When they finally win it'll be so special, hopefully before I die.
  14. Ok that's his WAR. Projections are also just that, projections as you've heard 1000 times. For me he has very limited upside with his bat, which is why I don't consider him a very good or great player. He's solid, very good at defense and a useful player. Let's not get carried away.
  15. He's a .300 OBP player with limited power and good defense. I wouldn't call him a very good player based on his hot start.
  16. It looks really slow. I mentioned this when they signed him as a reason why he doesn't have a lot of power for his size. You have to wonder how long his leash is...
  17. Yeah really. If he struggles vs a really light hitting lineup I'd imagine his leash will be short.
