    My thoughts exactly. Garbage game.
  4. Thanks Boxy, Twisted, DP, Hip and Gordie. Definitely going to be using something to watch it.
  5. Dwight Shrute is possibly my favorite character of all time. Steve Carrell does a great job of making you feel awkward just watching the show. I wish I could figure out how to watch it in Canada. American Netflix has it but when I come home I'm outta luck. Certainly not for everyone. Very dry humor. I love it.
  6. Merry Christmas everyone
  7. Big fan of The Office here
  8. Love Corner Gas. Been to the set a few times too. Sadly, if memory serves me correct the gas station had a bad fire IRL.
  9. The Orioles have agreed to a one-year deal with free agent outfielder Delmon Young, Roch Kubatko of MASNsports.com reports (Twitter links). The deal is pending physical, and that will not take place until the new year, Kubatko adds. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2014/12/orioles-to-sign-delmon-young.html
  10. Never read the comments: "Think bigger than just Chapman (this year & next year arg player control) Add in Cueto....? (10mil/1 yr) Add in Phillips...? (39mil/3 yr) If we could get 2 or all 3 of these guys in a trade, and enjoy them for an entire season instead of just at the trade deadline - WOW! Trade: Navaro, Osuna, Hoffman, Urena If we could get Votto involved.... ? (211mil/9 yr) lets add Norris+Pompey+Nay to the offer." Don't let your children drink gasoline, folks.
  11. Don't know how to thank on my phone, so here it is. Good post.
  12. Giving up is a definite expression. I don't think anyone has "given up" on Sanchez. I just think a lot of posters have come to terms that the possibility of him reaching his ceiling is limited. He holds much more value as a trade chip. His inability to limit walks (SSS at the big league level, much more data in the minors) and induce swinging strikes with above average stuff is what is worrisome to me.
  13. Cheers, mate!
  14. Stroman! If I have to pick one of these guys though, its Martin. I'm intrigued to see what he can do with this pitching staff- it's pretty unique. -A knuckleballer -The lefty who defies aging -One of the games most talented young starters -Another very talented young starter in Hutch -Estrada/Sanchez/Norris should all benefit from having Martin behind the dish Taking the thought process out of some of these young guys' heads should allow them to focus more on pitching itself, rather than how to get the hitter out. That will be Martin's job, and I can't wait to watch him exploit hitters.
  15. I'm home in Sask for Christmas time Spanky. Hopefully they're biting, but more so just to get out and spend time with my brother and some friends. We've been having a great winter, so it only makes sense to get outside and enjoy the outdoors.
  16. I don't have time to look up all the data because I'm about to spend my Christmas Eve, eve going ice fishing. What I'm saying is that these players still hold value, whether or not they ever make the majors. That value could be used to acquire a more established talent. The player could become a major league player himself, or he could end a bust (as you're implying, but under the notion that they only have four years to do so). Merry Christmas Dogg you must easily hold the BJMB record for first poster on ignore per user. You just gained +1 today.
  17. That just because prospects don't reach their full potential, doesn't mean they aren't good picks. Hindsight is 20/20. Many of the guys GD mentioned have or had value in being a prospect. Syndergaard being the most obvious.
  18. What does him being in the majors in a year or two matter? Obviously if you pick a HS player in the supplemental round he's not going to be in the majors in two years in most circumstances.
  19. They have value before they need protection from the rule V. Just because AA didn't properly value them at the time (Synder, Woj) doesn't mean they weren't good picks.
  20. To me, the difference between a good organization and a s***** one in this instance is recognizing whether or not said player can make the necessary adjustments to harness his potential. Any ML pitcher should be able to pound the zone with fastballs. That shouldn't be a specific skill set that is commended. If the Jays don't think he can do it, right now is an excellent sell high.
  21. Ya you're right it would. I was just under the assumption we were talking Sanchez for Zobrist. My mistake. I don't view Sanchez as more than a late inning reliever. Every trade scenario involving him I'm pretty much in agreement with.
  22. Sanchez for Zobrist isn't an overpay though. Then in 2016 you either pay him the ~14 million or take the comp pick. If you can get Zobrist for a reliever who doesn't strike guys out, I think you have to do it.
  23. And this is why you don't become attached to certain players. Sounds like a spoiled kid on Christmas morning, who got more presents than most other kids, but not the ones he wanted.
  24. Based on what exactly?
  25. Yankee Stadium vs Target Field
