  1. Not sure how anyone can really criticize this move. BP sucks. AA added depth.
  2. Lol you are obtuse. Boxy was right.
  3. This is like saying "don't get Michael Saunders because Justin Upton is available". Just because the Jays are linked to a middle reliever (who is better than most of the in house options) doesn't mean AA is finished adding pieces.
  4. Well they make up the majority of every fan base. So ya, it's probably a good idea to not alienate them.
  5. Never once said any of them are all encompassing. You sound like a longtime reader who started posting, and are taking advantage of the smallest opportunity to show that you have a basic understanding of advanced stats. Your dumn if you really don't believe that a large percentage of casual fans don't use a players slash line to form a base line opinion of the player. That's what 43211234 was referring to, and it's pretty easy to see.
  6. Either you or 43211234. What I'm saying is that you guys understand there are better way to evaluate offense other than the slash line.
  7. It will be a whole lot lower if he can't throw strikes out of the bullpen this year.
  8. The majority of baseball fans still use slash line, almost exclusively. Only now is WAR starting to become somewhat mainstream. I'm sure he's aware of how stats like wOBA or wRC+ are more accurate indicators of offensive contribution. Tldr; you're nitpicking.
  9. Been a fan of this thinking for a while now. His value could be at it's peak right now.
  10. Can we f***ing not start the year with 20 year old Castro in the BP? AA did such a great job to start the offseason. But it looks like he's going to fail again at putting the finishing touches on the roster. I don't even hate AA, but heading into Opening Day with Travis, Pompey, Sanchez, Norris and Castro would be a tragedy.
  11. Was this a highlight video? Because if it was, you wouldn't be able to tell if he had fouled of prior pitches before the homerun without watching the entire at bat. Not only that, watching only Jose Bautista's homeruns leaves out a large percentage of not only home runs but two strike hits throughout the league.
  12. Not really fair. One of my favorite parts of baseball is watching a good hitter foul off a good two strike pitch. These guys are trained to spoil those pitches. No sense to penalize them.
  13. This entire situation is a mess. Find someone else in 2016. Putting DD on this fictitious pedestal is getting old. Lol at O's fans though. Having a guy run their team who clearly wants to move on, and holding him ransom.
  14. He's actually pretty close on the family tree, oddly enough.
  15. Never expected to really actively post, but since I have I figured it would be a good idea to not have my name plastered on a message board. Dumn idea is dumn.
  16. So accurate, yet so disappointing.
  17. Haha come on King, aren't you from Manitoba?
  18. I understand the math behind it all. My point was that someone with more knowledge than me could probably make a relevant point and an arguement about age, Donaldson having already peaked, Stras not having peaked yet, etc.
  19. Great point. A good f***ing move is right. Following your logic, I would have to agree. It's probably not as simple as that, but your point still stands. AA made a great move to acquire an elite talent.
  20. Is there any evidence of this being Toronto's doing? I'm genuinely unaware of it if there is.
  21. It's going to be hilarious when DD finds a way himself to get out of this abortion of a situation, and the O's hire Kevin Towers.
  22. Good thing "Orioles" is here to protect the integrity of the org.
