  1. Waiting for more info There could be something lost in translation I am seeing pictures from her socials of her and her kid. Also, behind the wheel of a sports car with a bottle of vodka, lol There was a Wander Franco snapback hat giveaway yesterday at the Trop for kids 14 and under
  2. lmfao of course YOU would say this
  3. Maybe Definitely needs a pitch redesign
  4. The 2023 Toronto Blue Jays Flyballs to dead CF and groundballs right at middle infielders
  5. That hit is the best example I have seen of why Vladdy has horrible defensive numbers and is a bad defender Literally fall down range His first step is atrocious
  6. Yeah there is a gun to his head
  7. 4.98 runs per game on average, per team, in 2022 5.60 in 2023 12% increase in offense year to year so.... yeah. but this is why wRC+ exists!
  8. Yeah When they called him back up there was a lot of criticism of the FO. How could they think he is fixed already!? But it turns out they just kind of needed a starter and he was the s***** AAAA quality pitcher they could go to.
  9. interesting comparison Harper's struggles with the stick were of course softened by the fact that he was a decent baserunner and okay RF but offensively I see it Harper's 115 and 111 wRC+ years were pretty disappointing relative to his hype
  10. I really feel like if Vlad was just a good player still (not even a great player) the team would be so much more watchable and enjoyable.
  11. If Noah f***ing Syndergaard is able to navigate this lineup with limited damage... I will literally cry.
  12. Vlad is so f***ing broken He has/had all the talent and tools for a Miguel Cabrera career. He just decided to do it on fast forward. He is 34 year old Miggy now.
  13. I don't know why he'd need a 30 day rehab But the concussion protocol is a 7 day IL thing
  14. The hyperbole is just the inclusion of Holliday. Odds are he out WARs the 7 other players combined. But, I agree that the Buffalo quartet might be closer to Cowser/Westburg/Kjerstad than people think. I don't think those guys are necessarily that special.
  15. They did add a bat at the deadline. His name is Davis Schneider. They benched him yesterday in favour of Santiago Espinal and lost 1-0.
  16. Another gut punch game They try to get cheeky with rest days and end up losing 1-0. Wasted a Kikuchi gem and squandered a bunch of baserunners. Patheeeeeeeeetic. Presumptuous of course but hard to believe they score nothing if both Chapman and Babe start the game.
  17. The entertainment value of hyperbole aside... It was always at least conceivable that rankings bias was causing people to underrate Toronto's farm system for a window of time in 2023. Hopefully all of the pop up relief pitching and some of these position players in AAA will stick right away. It would be a HUGE boon to Toronto's mid to long term competitive outlook to have, say, two starting quality position players, a few good relievers, and maybe a backend SP all in AA/AAA right now. Between Barger, Schneider, Orelvis, Palmegiani, Leo Jimenez, Horwitz, Juenger, Zulueta, Pearson, Danner, Cooke, Fluharty, Tiedemann, Burnette.... maybe they have that all in the queue.
  18. It probably already has
  19. Isn't this just good evidence supporting the idea that they should go on a run? RISP splits are probably noise The bases empty number would be much closer to true talent
  20. Imagine thinking that Toronto has a small compete window when Schneider, Barger, Horwitz and Orelvis are all on the cusp
  21. He was an absolute fantasy stud for many years
  22. Great hit tool Mediocre pitch recognition The annoying thing is that at time his pitch recognition has seemed better. But, swing decisions have always been one of his issues.
