  1. Yeah it's probably just a question to see who grasps the basic issue with OPS
  2. Lmao some of the reddit comments "You can tell by the wording how they want you to answer some of the questions and let me tell you it shines so much light on why this teams organizational philosophy sucks."
  3. He's losing it now
  4. The Astros are starting Urquidy?! They must not think Seattle has a chance.
  5. LMAO Carlos Rodon with the perfect end to his season
  6. Even just as a bottom of the roster whipping boy I'm surprised Erasmo Ramirez is the best TB can do
  7. Well this is going well Have to think the Rays are just going through the motions hahaha
  8. Yeah that's the best case scenario. Clinch tonight then throw the final 2 games on purpose.
  9. The ALDS will be easy to make.
  10. Or Carlos Rodon lmfao
  11. I mean one of the "Aces" from 2022 got so fat and gross in the offseason that all of his stuff and effectiveness disappeared miss me with the "so lucky with the rotation health" ******** they lost Manoah to the obesity epidemic. RIP Manoah. f***ing carbs. When will Trudeau do something about carbs!? TJS is at least a technical fix. 12 months off and you are 100% again. Obesity is insidious. Eating disorders are with you forever. Keeping weight off has a 95% failure rate.
  12. I am a God fearing man. Win the next two and clinch then push Gausman back. Gausman-Berrios-Bassitt vs TBR or Berrios-Bassitt-Kikuchi/Ryu vs MIN ????
  13. I didn't say that. Toronto probably did get lucky with SP health this year. I say probably because you can kind of consider Manoah to be a 100% loss due to health issues, lol. BUT Toronto would have projected to have the healthiest rotation in baseball, pre-season! At least I bet they would. So the level of LUCK that happened may be minor. You can also cause your own LUCK sometimes in baseball. The Jays trainers may be part of the LUCK TEAM.
  14. Acquire veterans with clean mechanics and pristine health records and this can happen!
  15. We *probably* want the Astros to sweep Arizona so Toronto ends up as the final WC team Texas will win tonight.
  16. There is no defense for it. Even if you honestly believe prayer = lifesaving surgery then you are essentially forcing a medical treatment on someone without consent. It's a f***tard move no matter which way you view it.
  17. Josh Bell Tommy Pham Jake Burger Garret Cooper Luis Urias Nelson Velasquez AJ Pollock Jaimer Candelario Mark Canha Cron and Grichuk Carlos Santana lil' Nickyyyyyyyyyyyy Lopez Jace Peterson Amed Rosario Kike Hernandez Josh Rojas (Sewald) DeJong (lol) Most of these suck of course but some okay bats at the top. Pham would have fit Toronto.
  18. I don't think a single MLB scout will like him on offense. It's not rocket science, we've all watched him. He has had absolute no idea how to hit for months. If I was running Toronto I don't know if I would even be playing him right now. Since August 1st: Chapman 48 wRC+, -0.2 WAR Whit 51 wRC+, -0.4 WAR Bo 63 wRC+. -0.1 WAR
  19. On paper, yes. But I'm not so sure. There will be MLB scouts in every front office telling the suits that Matt Chapman can't hit anymore and they should not sign him to a big deal.
  20. google it
  21. This team was not intended to be a station-to-station offense. It has just ended up that way because a bunch of guys decided to not hit as many homers as they should. Or they got hurt (Jansen, Bo). The original design was basically... thump up top and then diversity at the bottom. If this offense is/was firing on all cylinders there are some total package hitters (Springer, Bo, Vlad), high average hitters (Kirk and Whit), OBP machines (Belt, Kirk, Biggio), a power/speed guy (Varsho), speed guy (KK), and a pair of bottom of the order big HR hitters (Chapman, Jansen). Of course it just didn't really work out this way. It is really boring. They don't do anything well. They are just "okay" at hitting for AVG and OBP and that's the core of the offense - just being okay at getting singles and getting on base. lmao. Toronto is 11th in AVG, 9th in OBP, 17th in SLG, 22nd in SB, 18th in HR, 28th in BsR (gross), tied 11th in wRC+, 3rd in defensive runs. I do think they need the HR hitters to hit some f***ing homers to do anything in the playoffs.
  22. Biggio is alright. He's a mediocre defender, with middling power and middling speed. You can definitely find platoon guys who would put up more WAR in his amount of playing time. I'm kind of sick of him tbh! Really boring player. Not an impact guy at all. Not a game changer, ever.
