    I enjoy that Smoak can't even get into the lineup a couple months after signing a multi-year extension. I'd be pretty excited about his departure right now if he weren't signed

    It's pretty rare that big market teams get more than 1-2 years into a big FA deal and don't regret their decision. I wouldn't be upset if the team flexed some financial muscle on a 7-8 year Donaldson extension though.

    He's in a similar boat to Rasmus last season. Actually, he's playing worse and with a scarier injury history. I doubt there's 3/40 out there for him.

    I was pretty sure a month or two ago that I was in this camp, but now I'm not really sure. He's going to finish at about 2 fWAR and is still riding a BABIP 35 points above his career BABIP. Not sure that's the best way to spend $17M.
