    Wow, Alex Kirilloff retired
  2. BTS
Daniel Hudson announced his retirement last night. Anyone who's read The Arm knows he went through hell, blowing his UCL in his first game back from TJS. Ended up up having a very solid career.

Most teams are rostering the most mobile d-men they can find. Leafs are going with a bunch of 30+ year old face-punchers who can't skate. They're going to start missing the playoffs within the next couple of years.

The damage he's done in like 18 months is hilarious

Yup. Fans will hear a coach say something they think is smart (or dumb) and then form very strong opinions about that person's impact on the team, while not having anywhere close to enough information to weigh in that strongly.

Yup. The current situation is absurd: - the team coming off a 74-win season - possibly the worst farm system in the league - right up against the luxury tax - their two best players a year from free agency - zero controllable star players - President and GM have contracts expiring in a year And the team is pretending that they're going to contend in 2025. Nobody in baseball ops is incentivized to care about anything beyond 2025, and yet the team is a long shot to compete next year. We're all just waiting on the regime change that will be announced a year from now. The good news is that they can't gut the non-existant farm, and they can't commit to a bunch of albatross contracts if they only have 40M or so to add to the 2025 payroll.

I think this reality is going to set in if/when the team doesn't add multiple 4+ war players in the offseason

There's like a 40% chance Spanky would end up in a drunken fistfight with you or TCA.

I don’t hate any of the remaining teams, but it would be cool if Cleveland somehow finds a way to win. Love J-Ram and Kwan

Lane Thomas just eliminated the Tigers
  11. BTS
We don't need any part of a man so beta that he publicly whined for days about Machado rolling a ball towards the dugout
  12. BTS
There are far too many off days in the playoffs these days. The guardians and tigers having 3 days off in a 5-game series is absurd
  13. BTS
Cease has been dogshit in the playoffs
  14. BTS
Same The Dodgers are so unlikeable. They should fire Dave Roberts just for the whining about Machado
  15. BTS
This is a tremendous ball game
  16. BTS
I didn't think he had any chance to get to it
  17. BTS
    It's a catch. What a f***ing catch.
  18. BTS
I legit can't tell if Kwan caught that
  19. BTS
    What an AB by Kwan
  20. BTS
    I wasn't familiar with Jhonkensy Noel's game

Skubal looks like he's going to throw 9 scoreless
  22. BTS
    Matt f***ing Boyd

10 WAR in 4 seasons for Springer. It's really not the end of the world, and there are only 2 years left. Many worse deals are signed every offseason. Hopefully he remains playable for the final two years.
  24. BTS
He's been pitching backwards a ton. Breaking balls until 2 strikes and then fastball to try and get the out.
  25. BTS
Pretty cool to see Darvish shutting the Dodgers down at his age
