I can not wait for the Leafs to resemble the disaster he left behind in Calgary. Should only be a year or two at this point.

Now 4 years @ 3.5M for OEL. Treliving is truly awful at his job.

6 years @ 4.5M for Tanev lmao. Treliving doing his thing.
  4. Verdugo is a vile looking person
  5. So much attrition on the roster this year: Mayza - DFA'd Swanson - optioned to AAA Cabrera - should be optioned to AAA Berrios - stuff is completely gone, migth not even be tradeable anymore Gausman - stuff has deteriorated, and he's been hurt. No longer an ace Manoah - died Biggio - DFA'd Vogelbach - DFA'd Kirk - hits and runs like Jose Molina Kiermaier - replacement level Bichette - almost replacement level and feels like he's on his way out Springer - almost replacement level Like, IKF is leading this team in fWAR. It's so bad.
  6. I’m less convinced of trading Vlad. But I don’t think he should be extended long-term unless he plays to a level that shows he deserves it. Definitely not throwing 160 or 200M at him hoping he figures it out. The bar for actually being difficult to replace at 1B is too high. If he finished the season strong and finishes within a 3-4 win season then yeah maybe. Bo has so many red flags that I think an extension would be madness.
  7. A close second would be long-term extensions for them because they're already here and Atkins doesn't like change. There is zero chance that a team like LAD, NYY, ATL, or TB would be looking to commit to either of these guys this offseason. That's loser s***. Actually I'd probably rather have the comp pick than either Bo or Vlad on a long-term deal.
  8. I think AJ Preller is mostly a clown. But holy f*** this team could use some of his style right now. Why the extreme risk-aversion? Why are we pretending like Bo and Vlad are untouchable franchise cornerstones? Things aren't working and it's OK to make significant changes.
  9. But then jays fans actually have to watch Vlad play baseball for a bunch more years
  10. I wonder how long they ride things out with Springer if things still look more or less the same for him. Probably like May 2025 is the earliest we'd see a DFA?
  11. It's going to be fun when Atkins is allowed to stick around and every trade is for the best AAA guy they can find. The Oakland A's model.
  12. There is literally no number. You defended individual Atkins moves, therefore you have been labeled an Atkins defender until the end of time. The BJMB scarlet A.
  13. I can't believe I'm seeing whining about Gurriel and Moreno in mid-2024
  14. Gurriel is on a s***** free agent contract. Below-average hitter this year and on track to put up a league-average season in LF for 14M, the first year of a 42M deal. Arizona probably couldn't give that contract away at this point. And Moreno just kind of sucks
  15. Not even really. Every win increases my anxiety about Atkins holding on the free agents
  16. This is what I posted earlier: You've basically just reiterated what I said, only you're framing it as a disagreement for some reason.
  17. A 0.730 OPS this year is like 10% above league average. If we knew before the season that Schneider, Turner, IKF, Jansen, and Varsho would combine for like a 110 wRC+ halfway through the season we'd be buying playoff tickets.
  18. Soto for Brendan Rodgers is the single greatest move of my Fantasy career
  19. Following up: Springer is like -10 offensive runs this year. 13 runs or so behind where he'd be if he played to projections. Bichette is at -7. About 15 runs below projections. Kirk -8, and would have been projected at a small positive. Say 10 runs below projections. That's a 38-run swing. The difference between 27th in runs (where the Jays sit) and middle of the pack (15th). And that's without accounting for Vlad being Ryan Noda and not Yordan Alvarez.
  20. Basically nobody on this forum was completely right or wrong. Some people were right that complaining about the Varsho trade and IKF signing were way overblown. Others were right that the offense wasn't good enough. But were wrong about why it wouldn't be good enough: the secondary offense has been very, very good and the biggest culprits for the limp dick offense have actually been Vlad, Bo, Springer, and Kirk. They were right about Atkins having failed, but wrong about why: it's not that he overemphasized defense, but rather that he either misevaluated the core or hired an inept staff that failed to unlock their skills (both?). And then basically everyone on the forum was wrong about the pitching.
  21. This f***ing trade. It was ******** at the time. Then cost me a title last year, and remains ******** today. It haunts me.
  22. Also top-notch swagger on the velo check + smirk as he walk off
  23. That's gonna be 10 games too
  24. Edwin Diaz ejected for sticky stuff before throwing a pitch
