Seems like Yermin Mercedes has possibly retired.

It's wild that someone who won an MVP at 23 is this bad at 25. He's 8% worse than Ryan Goins' career wRC+.

I thought Kerfoot kind of sucked. Weird to trade Hallander and a 7th to protect him.

Friend of mine was heated about your Acuna offer.
-
It's a gamble. I'm 6th in the power rankings, but I have the league's best pitching staff (to this point). I think I have a chance to make noise in the playoffs with Cruz, especially if Bellinger comes to life. I'm also not currently in a playoff spot, so this could end in disaster.

David Peralta is available for a pick upgrade.

OK, this has run its course. Back to prospect talk plz.

Didn't he whine about playing time while putting up one of the worst statistical seasons in team history?
-
Not really sure what to do with this as a mod, because on one hand it has completely derailed the thread, but on the other its obviously important to know who has welched on bets, because people put money up pretty frequently here. Going to leave everything for now, but let's get back on topic.

Is there a reason why Seattle wouldn't take McCann? He's clearly better than Kerfoot or Dermott, right?
-
Zaitsev - negative value White - negative value Watson - 4th liner with zero upside Mete - claimed off waivers in April Brown - looks like a bust Protecting these guys while not offering a late pick or something for Tarasenko or van Riemsdyk is hilarious incompetence.
-
McCann is a great pickup for the Leafs at a cheap price. And of course the Senators don't make a single move. A stockpile of picks and prospects, 20+M in cap space, and they'll protect Zaitsev, White, and f***ing Austin Watson instead of adding actual talented players.
-
I dislike Marcus Stroman immensely on a personal level. Will listen to offers on similarly valuable SP if someone's looking for a change. CF could also be a fit.

The Ottawa Senators are probably going to protect 4th liner grinder Austin Watson, as well as Zaitsev and Colin White, who have negative value relative to their contracts. They have a stockpile of picks and prospects that they could trade for talent that other teams can't protect, but will likely just sit on it and protect assets with negative value.

During high school, I played junior hockey and still hold two league records: most time spent in the penalty box; and I was the only guy to ever take off his skate and try to stab somebody.
-
I think they'll have about 10M to spend on a goalie, a couple of wingers, and maybe a D. I'm curious about how much of that they sink into a G.

Losing Hyman is going to sting. Saw a tweet yesterday that he might get 7 years on the open market.

How has this trade not been completed yet? Christ Almighty.
