Because it's the Red Sox, we have a chance. 

I think Scherzer has a reasonable four to five innings today.

Perhaps I shouldn't have put that into the aether.

Bieber made it up to 80 pitches today in Buffalo so I'm guessing he is good to go workload wise. The results in his AAA starts haven't been great for the most part so hopefully that's not indicative of what to expect upon his MLB return.

I wouldn't mind seeing what Scherzer could do out of the pen if he could get healthy. His stuff might play at 100% for 15-25 pitches.

Well, SWR's stats with the Twins were as bad as Max's stats this season, so the Jays don't believe in him after 1 outing.

I'm sure they want to work with him on some things before they throw him out there for a start

His stuff and command were much better than his season averages in his Blue Jays debut. I don't recall hearing whether the club had been working on any adjustments with SWR or if this was just a result of an extended break between outings.

Agreed. But the front office also needs to make the tough decision and tell him to go home for the season.
