Hopefully that gives Hoffman some confidence. He basically exclusively threw Sliders in that outing.

And threw them to LHH, which he almost never does anymore.

Might have been a scouting report "f-you" to the Yanks

Easily could have been a sweep, the Yankees aren’t scary at all. Can’t be mad at a series split in the Bronx all things considered so can’t be displeased with this result.

True that.  Considering where the Jays are at, I posted before this series that I consider a split a good outcome.

Don’t really see why Rogers can’t go 2 innings. Especially considering he threw 8 pitches. I also don’t think Hoffman who is prone to fly balls Is the guy you want to face a Lineup only trying to hit Homeruns. I would rather see them try to ground ball us to death with Rogers on the mound.

Hoffman vs guys who aren't Aaron Judge who try hit grand slam without runner on the bases on every throw, it's easier than face guys who are smart, let him put himself in trouble, throwing too many pitches, and do mistakes.

Hats off to Miles. What an outing

Yes, Miles, Valenzuela, Pinanga, Macko are very good surprises this year. They also don't cost much, and easily will put Sosa, Heineman, Schneider, Rodriguez out of the lineup soon.

Springer is always so articulate. It's not something most MLB players can do.

You know he is spokes person for stuttering kids right?  I think he’s put a lot of effort into his speech and public speaking.  He did have one interview with a mlb panel and mark derosa around alcs or World Series where he lost it a bit but he’s usually good

I've had enough of Sosa/Davis Lukes Barger can't get here soon enough

Barger will likely return at 3B when he return from injury. Pinanga, Lukes, Jesus, are enough for LF, just need add a RF who can hit many HR and help the offensive.

Springer, Varsho, Vlad, are usually good in post game interview.

Say one thing for this front office, they seem to excel in navigating these types of bullpen games.

Also Spencer Miles is dynamite, and definitely looks to be this year’s Lauer

He replace Bassitt in the bullpen

Convinced Spencer Miles is actually good at this point

Getting vibes of some other deep arsenal pitchers. Having four solid-average pitches and throwing them each 20%+ of the time is very cool. Killer stuff. Hitters have a tough time figuring out what to do.

The problem with some other deep arsenal guys is that they either don't have a good fastball or some of their pitches just kind of suck. Neither is true for Miles. It's four solid 50 grade (or better) offerings.

Miles seems to be able to locate the curve really well. Either for called strikes early or in the dirt late. If he can sit 96/97 with that, its a pretty good package. 4 average pitches, good command. Its a starter.

Lukes homered in Dunedin tonight. Give him a few more games and he'll be ready to go

We also need to pop the top off of the Roger's Centre soon. I think our offense will start heating up with nicer weather in Toronto and the ball carrying better.
