Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted May 9 Posted May 9 Yesavage to Fluharty to Fisher is absurd in terms of giving hitters different looks. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Mantiply pitch the next inning to continue the trend.

Of course, the projections paint a less rosy picture. Spanky__99 and Brownie19 2

Slade Old-Timey Member Posted May 9 Posted May 9 This is dumb that you can't review or challenge this. If the score was not 8-0 Schneider would be fuming.

Power Tool Scouting Report Jesus Sanchez 60 - good raw power, solid exit velocity, looking for consistent launch angles Brandon Valenzuela 60 - good raw power, solid exit velocity with good launch angles. Ernie Clement 30 - Solid double hitters and can pull 10 homers but lacks raw power. Vladimir "Arraez" Guerrero Jr. 25 - Good bat to ball skills and maintaining .300 average but lacks extra base power. jaysblue and Stangstag 2
jmomcc Verified Member Posted May 9 Posted May 9 It doesn't matter for how your front office sees you or free agent money, but for arbitration as far as i know its decided by old school numbers. So, i wonder if guys hitting say 2 homers and 6 hits off a non pitcher in a year, how much that would affect their arb number?

So, i wonder if guys hitting say 2 homers and 6 hits off a non pitcher in a year, how much that would affect their arb number? It's determined by a debate basically. Team and players reps debate the value of the player and who he is comparable to and then the arbiter decides. Like a trial almost. No reason you can't use WAR. No reason you can't bring it up if guy padded his numbers off of position player. Can do anything. Could create your own formula if you want. Not sure if it is still really decided by old school numbers as you would have to think they are using more advanced stuff now. Or whatever side is advantaged by the more advanced stuff is. It's a weird system. Decided by a guy and who knows how much that guy knows. I assume they educate him or get someone with a baseball background and aware of latest trends. I would think number padding wouldn't be a big deal as they can bring it up if significant. Probably everyone gets a chance at that anyway. jmomcc 1

He's a career .210 hitter. I don't care how likeable he is as a person. He's a s***** MLB player, we lost Leo Jiminez cause management wouldn't send him down and now Pinango who literally did everything he could to stay with the Jays is being sent down, to keep a guy hitting .127. Unreal! It might be to ensure Pinango continues to play everyday? That's my guess. Spanky__99 1
