Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted 20 hours ago Posted 20 hours ago Gavin Williams vs. Scherzer Cantillo vs. Gausman Cecconi vs. Cease Tough matchup tonight but I like the other two a lot. The reinforcements are coming, it's probably series to series at this point. So let's win this series and then go on a run in May. Orgfiller, Brandon Glick and Spanky__99 3

Sounds like Springer could be back as soon as Saturday. Sunday or Monday seem more realistic. Barger shouldn't be too far behind but they might want to get him into some game action first. We'll probably get a good update tonight before the game. Jays24 and Spanky__99 2
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted 17 hours ago Posted 17 hours ago With Yesavage and Berrios returning soon, this is a big start for both Max and Lauer. If Max deals we might have seen the last of Eric Lauer as a starting pitcher for the Jays. Might even be the last we see of him in a Jays uni period unless they are willing to option Mantiply who is throwing really well. If Max struggles, I could see an IL stint in his immediate future and it could buy Lauer some more time. Spanky__99 and Laika 2

Hoffman - "Sounds good. I am not the best closer right now, but if I pitch good in the 10-1 games maybe you will reconsider me." Schneider - LIttle and Rodiriquez. You are going to Buffalo. Little and Rodriquez - "OK skip, there are worse places, we will try to learn better control in a stress free environment and hopefully see you all soon." Schneider - Lauer, you will have an opener but a great opportunity to pad your ERA and vulture a win. Lauer "You die *******. I will not suffer such an indignity. Go to hell. Straight to hell. I kick your fat ass and stat-boys Shitkins soft ass too" Eat My Shatkins and Spanky__99 2

BTS Community Moderator Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago 1 hour ago, Stangstag said: Eric Lauer could never It's kind of remarkable that a 30-year old slop throwing journeyman has managed to become the most unlikeable player on the team. We shouldn't even know what this guy sounds like.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago I think Lauer took the whole arbitration process to heart when it felt like he was a great teammate last year who sacrificed for the greater good of the game and still got penny pinched for it. With that said, you are on a World Series contender so

He can be a weapon out of our pen once he gets right, whether that's as a setup guy or a return to closer at some point. We need the Hoffman of 2023/2024 on this team. He was one of the best relievers in baseball those two seasons. I know he's struggled, but tough guy to root against. Hope he turns it around.
