Such a bold prediction

Its no wonder theyre the "high authority" of this board with takes like that.

Im also calling Ohtani and Judge will be AL and NL MVPs lol.

Very likely.  Pirates have great pitching, just need bats and Griffin might already be the best in the org.

Calling it right now, Griffin NL ROY, McGonigle AL ROY.  The #1 and #2 ranked prospects.

Weatherholt NL ROY.

Jim is the high authority of the board?   I guess it's true - you learn something new everyday...

He was the highest paid employee of a 10000 person company and has more knowledge of advanced statistical analysis then the rest the board combined.   Not even joking.   May be off on the '10000' but the company was at least a few hundred people.

He was wrong once in a discussion about how many at bats you need for splits to be meaningful (it is way more than one would think even with advanced stats background) but such things happen even to the greats.  Wrong once is hundreds of times better than second highest authority (second highest authority is Laika, wrong 893 times, right 10129 for a 'correct' rate of over 90%, second to Jim at 99.99 %).

The Braves are off to a rough start.

  • Kim offseason injury
  • Schwellenbach out after elbow surgery
  • Waldrep out after elbow surgery
  • Strider throwing 93
  • Profar out for the year

Have no fear - AA is known for building depth on his teams...

I like AA and I like the Braves.  They're lucky they won in '21 because the dynasty AA took over doesn't look so hot these days.  These things happen.

Remember when Shapiro sent AA packing and the AA Fanboys thought they ran this board? lmao

We don't hear too much from them these days do we?

Oh there's one, lol

To be fair, they won a title and thats what matters mainly.

Rogers decided to open up their wallets, which should be a credit to Shapiro for making a good enough business case to do so.  AA can blame Gillick for having to start a Go Fund Me for Santana as his business plan lol

AA's eventual firing is going to hit like crack. Dude leaves a mess behind here, then runs to LA to ride the coattails of actual smart people until a dynasty in waiting falls into his lap. Then promptly ruins that too.

He'd probably be looking for a job right now if panic midseason trades for replacement level talent like Eddie Rosario and Jorge Soler didn't singlehandedly win a WS before regressing back into worthless plugs.

Yeah bad luck as Laika would say.

Remember when the Jays made the Postseason in 2015 for the first time since 93 and also were World Series contenders in 2016?

There is always luck involved when it comes to winning a World Series. Atlanta still had a solid team in 2021 which you forget to acknowledge. Still managed to win without Acuna. AA was still proactive at the deadline and yes it ended paying off.

They still had Freeman, Riley, Albies, Swanson as core bats. Fried, Morton and Anderson were solid starters. They also had a strong BP.

I like AA so you can tar and feather me all you want haha. Don't agree with everything he does, though not going to ignore the 2015 and 2016 seasons we had after not being in the Postseason since 1993. Jays had really good teams and were World Series contenders each of those seasons.
