But all calls get reviewed after the fact by MLB as well amd may be changed.  things get changed from hits to errors, errors to hits or triples to doubles + error just as a few examples. 

I doubt theyd change the scoring on that play since it resulted in a cycle, but... yeah it was clearly a double with advancing to 3rd on the throw. It was the left centre gap, Harper probably couldnt leg out a legit triple in the right centre gap unless it took a bad hop off the wall.

On a serious note, Detmers has been excellent this season and still has 2.5 years of team control. But heading into the year, I never would’ve imagined seeing someone suggest he could command a bigger return than Skubal.

Yeah.  Just stat-scouted him.  I could understand it if he was a consistent 30 starts a year guy with the 2.5 years control vs 2 months of Skubal. 

He was 41 year old Max Scherzer level awful in 2024 and had to be a reliever in 2025.    Unless there is something in the advanced stuff stats that is super-promising, looks like a risk.
