This.

Gausman threw 5 innings of 3 up, 3 down. One rough inning.

Jays have even Yamamoto hard, they just weren't able to string them together all at once. There's still a chance here though. There's some magic left in the sticks yet

The intentional walk is entirely responsible for the result. Just an unforgivable gaffe by Schneider. I've never seen anything like that in my life.

I really don't get it. Gausman is great vs lefties.

Gausman has similar numbers vs lefties as fluharty by the way.

interesting but the move to flu makes sense though this late in the game and to the top of the order

I feel like people are harping on the Shohei intentional walk a lot. Which is really a silly thing to argue. And not the decision to throw Mookie a splitter but instead 3 straight fastballs. Probably Gausman's actual only mistake of the night and it based on a bad pitch call.

I actually thought the same thing, they threw him too many fastball up in that at bat.

Yeah its a braindead take to complain about that as if there was a clear “correct” move. Its debatable, but not an egregious mistake like that dumbo Grant is saying

Give it a rest

It wasn't an egregious move. Questionable... okay, but you set up the DP by walking one of the best hitters on the planet... it's hardly the kind of monumental clusterf*ck they are making it out to be

What if this is how we find out Ohtani is modifying his bat 😳

You kind of wonder. The ball just jumps off his bat different. To be clear, I don't think he's cheating, but I'd love for them to test one of his bats and make sure.
