As long as IKF isn't starting, I think I'm fine with any lineup they put out there. JS will pinch hit anyway if necessary. Just keep IKF's ass on the bench until/unless defense is needed later.

Think about what just happened, people would rather make it later into the postseason just to have it taken away from them, so long as they beat the Yankees.

And I can't believe a fan of the Blue Jays would rather them lose to the Yankees in the ALDS than win 2 rounds in the post season and get into the World Series

Dude, for me it always hurts more the deeper you go. You just end up with more hope. People are so thin skinned about the Yankees and what US media says because of this inferiority complex that people here have so that beating the Yankees becomes their World Series, you don't see how that's f***ed up? 

It's seriously the kind of stuff that Boston Red Sox fans do, and it's pathetic when they do it and it's pathetic when we do it.

If I'm going to lose I'd rather be early, it's not as painful, if we're going to keep going I want to go all the way.

Are you a real life person? I seriously can't understand that a fan of any sports team in existence would rather lose a series that they are up 2 games to 0 vs making it to the next round and then falling short. And you are accusing the rest of us of a loser mentality? This is coming from the guy who was calling for the team to be blown up in May after a couple of rough weeks, was telling the rest of the board how the Yankees should literally be salivating at the chance to play the Blue Jays in the final regular season series because the Yankees had been beating bad teams for a few weeks, was busy telling the rest of us how the Yankees were a far more talented team heading into the playoffs and even after the Blue Jays have embarrassed the Yankees for the first two games to a literally historical degree still maintains that the Yankees are the better team. Now you have the gall to accuse the rest of us of loser mentality? That's some world class projection on your part pal, GTFO with that nonsense.

Yeah I really don't like starting IKF as that effectively stapled Barger to the bench in the last game as he won't be brought in as a defensive replacement.

Stating that a team is more talented is not the same as wanting them to win those are two different things.

IKF gets to start too many games. This is the reason why I didn't want the Jays to sign him because I knew JS was going to play him regardless of his stat this season.

Yeah if they didn't want to start Barger, then DS playing 2B made more sense with Lukes or Straw in the OF. In the last 3 seasons, IKF has a 65 wRC+ against LHP. The Jays being an analytical team but yet making a decision that is clearly "dude bats righty, so put him in there" is ridiculous. Unless they think the defensive upgrade is worth more than the noodle bat, which they might. 

Then again, Ned Yost started Alcidis Escobar and batted him lead off when they won the title, so maybe this is JS trying to appease the Baseball Gods.
