I thought the jays game ops was bad but that music in between pitches in the 9th was next level bad. Super loud and completely zaps the atmosphere out of the moment in the game.

These GDT's are a cesspools of moronic posts from what feels like the same person using multiple usernames.  I know all teams have stupid fans, but this is really sad.

Birds of a feather click together.

Haha why do you even post.  Your posts are always "dont ever question anything MLB teams do because theyre always right."

What a moronic hill to die on.  Almost every single catcher in MLB uses the 1 knee down approach and there is all kinds of data to back it up.  It's being taught throughout the game by everyone.

Buck doesn't like anything that's different from when he played and always voices his displeasure about it.

The Rogers Centre sound guy when the Jays are batting is the most obnoxious in the league, IMO.

Buck's point was that there's a runner on 3B where a wild pitch let's in a run.  You should adjust your stances based on the situation in the game, especially when there was already a wild pitch a few batters before.

I certainly hope it isnt the case but their decision to get cute with the pitching rotation could be the turning point in the season.  They managed to f*** up the entire bullpen with their over usage and are turning Berrios/Lauer into useless pieces.

Berrios has sucked balls since July - well before they acquired Bieber.

many catchers set-up with a knee down regardless of the situation, it's a comfort thing; better target, a little easier to frame pitches.  Mobility and pop up times take a hit though.  Guess most teams are ok with it.

Ya I think its fine in most cases but not when you just had a passed ball and have a runner at 3B.

Anyways, I think its fine to have different viewpoints on this as there are a lot of factors to consider.

on this I don't have a strong viewpoint one way or the other.  It's like a pitcher that's slow to the plate with runners on - and refuses to change.....

Berrios had a Stuff+ of 77 coming into tonight’s game. I’m not sure how much longer he can be an ~4 ERA innings eater at this rate without some type of drastic change.

Do any MLB catchers actually change their stance and revert back to a standard catching position with runners on 3rd?   I can't say I've noticed anyone who does.

In this case the catcher got his entire glove on the ball. He just missed it.

I got the Jays run line by -1.5 FFS! Thought being up 8-1, this was in the bag. I came back from a walk outside and now 8-6! WTF!

You’re a degen man, what happened to 48 hours off

Yeah I'm getting pretty sick of this management group seemingly not knowing when to stop with experimentation in the middle of a playoff race (or in playoff games). IKF f***ing sucks, there was no reason to bring him back, and put him on the hot corner no less.

They seem to get a hardon for certain players like IKF, Straw, Zimmer, etc. and then go all tunnel vision on them.
