Location+ is not a good evaluator metric for bullpens. Relief pitchers are paid to get quick outs and shut down innings not to finesse themselves out of jams. Velo and movement are an imperative for an effective bullpen; neither of which are accounted for in Location+. So we have to take a grain of salt with Laikas post about having the second worst bullpen Location+ in baseball.

I think the Jays are on the right track.  Get the best collection of Stuff for the bullpen as you can muster and roll the dice. There is no perfect formula.

The next few weeks are not going to be easy, we have a tough schedule and our competition does not. This stretch was our opportunity to try to separate a little bit more, even with a win today we didn't really take advantage of it.

Small broken bone sound uhh...not great. Hopefully we can keep Ernie out for a few games and PH with Schneider as necessary. Unclear how long this kind of thing takes to heal.

I thought rosters expanding on Sept 1st can't be used as a tool to circumvent the 10-day rule after optioning someone (and 15-day for pitchers). Someone correct me if I'm wrong though, I could be misremembering.

Good point, I'm not sure.

If that's the case, then Yesavage moves for Bruihl before Monday and they call up a LR till the 6th of September when Fischer can be activated.
