Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Undergoes MRI on Left Hamstring

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. exited early on Monday after injuring his left hamstring on a play at first base. He went for testing last night (per MLB.com's Keegan Matheson), but the Blue Jays are hopeful that both his exit and his MRI were only precautionary.

Needless to say, losing Guerrero for any amount of time would be a massive blow for this team. Their offense has carried them to the top of the AL East, and Guerrero has been the most important piece of the puzzle.

Hopefully, the Blue Jays will provide an update shortly. Even if it's good news, it wouldn't be surprising to see Guerrero sitting tonight against the Pirates.

I don’t think this is the play where he hurt it. As others said, he seemed to be pointing/favoring right from the 1st inning

I don't like when fat people are flexible, it just seems unnatural.

Of course this happens in the second half when he's finally hitting like a star.

Anyhow, hopefully it's just a few days, we should be able to overcome it in the short term.

Yeah he can hopefully swing a bat and DH a few games if he's just sore but not dealing with a significant injury.

Correct. He needs to stop hustling on the bases too. Vlad should never hustle.
