I think there's a middle ground between they level of booing in New York/Philly and a team like Toronto.  Yankee fans were booing Judge last year after he struggled for the first 3 weeks lol.

I believe once Gimenez returns that Ernie won't start to often against right handed pitching. After that I think Ernie will still play a lot but the club will try to get him more favorable matchups against right handed starters he has a chance to succeed against.

Yeah I think people are sleeping on how good Giminez actually is and how much he can help the team if he's healthy. His xwOBA is the 2nd highest of his career and his BABIP is insanely low while also having the lowest pop up rate of his career. He's not a guy who should be hitting at the top of the lineup but he can be really valuable hitting 7-9 while also providing elite defense and great baserunning.

Would be nice if Santander was healthy cuz the lineup at full health actually does look really good but I'm afraid we aren't going to see him again this season. He may as well just get surgery now so he is able to play at the beginning of next year.

What this latest report means, who knows but if he has a bat in his hands I guess that's progress

A Gimenez/Clement platoon would be very good. The Jays actually using Clement as a platoon player seems unlikely to me, though. Maybe Loperfido's hot streak has changed things. I thought for sure that Clement would start at 3B and Barger in RF once Gimenez came back, but don't think they want to bench Joey while he's performing this well. Everyone has to be healthy first, which hasn't happened often with the position players on this team over the last few months. 

Agreed completely with Santander making the lineup way better. I just don't think we will see him again this season but I hope I'm wrong.
