Why do the Cards act like they own the game and the rest of us are just their guests?

11 WS titles will do that I guess

The Cardinals and their fans don’t really bother me.

Yes, they act like they invented baseball.

But it's nothing compared to Yankee fans who think they have the right to every MLB player through:

  • whatever BS mock trade they expect other teams to automatically accept, or
  • through Free Agency where players line up to sign with the Yankees like it's an episode of The Bachelor

This why Michael Kay and the rest of those blowhards hate Vlad so much. He’s one of the few players who flat-out said he hates the Yankees and would never sign there.

(Yeah Vlad took a two month break from that so his agent Marc Anthony could squeeze every single cent possible out of Ed Rogers but still.)

Cardinals fans are more like, “Look how we developed this prospect The Cardinal Way™ — aren't we great?” Not nearly as bad.

I wish to beat every team actually

Both are just as bad, in different ways.

Schneider and Clase over Lukes and Straw vs a RHP makes no sense. Manager Schneider thinks he's coaching middle school ball where everyone gets to play.

Lukes took a shot to the head in the last game so perhaps the team is playing it carefully. I'm cool with Schneider getting a few more starts to see what he can do as he looks to be dramatically improved compared to earlier in the season. Clase has produced better numbers than Straw vs right handed pitching this season so it's not the end of the world for him to get a start as Straw can always come off the bench later in the game if the situation warrants it.

The outfield defense isn't going to be the best with Schneider in left and Clase in center, hopefully that doesn't lead to any extra runs against Berrios.

Kind of head scratchers for sure, Clase isn't hitting RHP any better than Straw ... and Straw is better defensively. Unless they have some sort of advanced wizardy stats that shows Schneider can nuke this type of pitcher... i don't really get it, unless Lukes is nursing something from the headshot he took in the last game

the lord of the rings horse GIF

Pallante career splits:

  • vs. RHP: .354 wOBA
  • vs. LHP: .279 wOBA

That's the second time in the past few days that Kirk's lack of speed cost us a run. Giminez batting sixth is a disgrace to the game, lol.

Kirk kept the inning alive and is a reason we're up 1-0, Jesus man.

Nice rip Ernie...

I'm fine with him batting clean up, just saying. How do you feel about Giminez batting sixth?

I know but he has so many other strengths, I wish there was 1 stat that covers it all . lol

he's 3rd overall in fWAR (for all catchers)

Ughh... I loathe leadoff walks. Leave him there Jose.

Just like that, lol.

Yeah, Berrios needs to be more aggressive on a 3-2 count up by two to the lead off hitter.
