He threw like 30 something pitches coming off 3 games in 4 nights or something like that. Even tonight the stuff/command wasn’t as sharp. 
 

And now he just threw another 25 pitches. At this rate his arm will fall off by June.

It’s ok. Remember. It’s coming. It’s only been three years of this type of thinking. Keep most of the team the same and in some ways make it worse but we should just know it’s coming. That’s this absurd promise. This team is terribly built. All we hear from management is that we are wrong and they are right and they don’t need evidence to support this. It’s insane. Ownership is clueless.

When they fired the hitting coach Atkins basically said “sometimes you just need a new voice even if the people aren’t bad at their jobs”

Well that’s true for his position as well. You just can’t keep doing the same thing and expect better results. The way a FO works now is it’s all about collaboration and process so it’s not like Atkins is really all that important in the day to day. Maybe replacing the GM kind of wakes everyone up in the organization and injects some fresh ideas across all levels.
