  1. Ya that doesn’t mean much to anyone. If you can’t bring in top players that says a lot. Either no one wants to play in Toronto or you have a management group that is not very good at attracting players to come here. This Management group has had a tough time doing that.
  2. Well he said how he can run down a ball on defense because of his experience as a catcher but how about hitting a baseball using his experience as a catcher. I guess he isn’t very good at doing that.
  3. What a great trade Shatkins made when they got Varsho. In terms of hitting it would be nice if we didn’t always go bargain basement shopping in free agency and when trading. Santander was supposed to be good but it just hasn’t worked out.
  4. Offense has stunk for the last few series. I don’t know what’s wrong with Vladdy and his power but you can’t pay a player 500 million who’s can’t get you homeruns and not produce when it counts. Offense has always been my biggest concern this year. It’s just a very bland lineup. Small ball is important but so is the long ball in the playoffs.
  5. Offense needs to get things going. The problem is I don’t know how much more they can produce. Vladdy has been this version of Vladdy all year. Just ok. We are a singles, doubles team when they are on. When they aren’t they really struggle to produce offense.
  6. Because people want to get home earlier. A fake double to start innings is stupid. It’s not earned that’s for sure.
  7. Ya that’s just a sign of an immature team. They have never been in this position and it’s showing. Gotta meet pressure with pressure.
  8. I hate the extra inning. Away teams always have the advantage if they get to start first. It puts so much pressure on the home team. I think that’s why away teams do better in extra innings overall.
  9. Jays are falling back down to earth. The offense looks awful as of late. They still should have gotten another bat. I know Springer is out and Kirk just got back but injuries happen. Vladdy has been disappointing this year. You pay someone 500 million you would expect them to score runs with runners on. He’s likes the solo homers but man he hasn’t really been a run producer the last couple of years. They are in a funk. They have to get out of it quick.
  10. Yet ownership doesn’t seem too bothered by it. As long as they get people at the gates they won’t change. I don’t think winning a World Series is high on their list. Its more about the money that keeps rolling in from those attending.
  11. It’s not stupid at all. Other than Santander, I haven’t been impressed. They went after a 40 year old pitcher, not a 20 something year old with year left and at his peak. Signing one hitter for me wasn't enough and we all knew that. It’s proven by now that Kirk, Vladdy, Bichette, Springer can’t win together. It’s the wrong makeup. They got Hoffman but again he’s older. We tend to get players that were once really good but aren’t what they use to be. You can be angry all you want but the truth is big name players don’t want to come here and it is a huge issue and the front office has done a terrible job building up the prospects and farm system.
  12. Is it though? When you shop at the bargain bin this is what you get. They are a below average team. There is nothing spectacular about them and that is the huge issue. You need at least three or four stars. Right now they have none. Vladdy could be but he’s not a clutch or consistent enough hitter. They spend so much money for a load of crap and then management talks about how things are coming until it’s too late. Same thing every year and ownership keeps buying it. Crapiro and Shatkins are horrible and have never proven they can build a winner. Why are they still here? You really need more evidence? Years of crap isn’t good enough? I blame ownership. They are clueless and management knows this. They are likely thinking, “ I can’t believe they are still buying what we are selling.”
  13. It’s ok. Remember. It’s coming. It’s only been three years of this type of thinking. Keep most of the team the same and in some ways make it worse but we should just know it’s coming. That’s this absurd promise. This team is terribly built. All we hear from management is that we are wrong and they are right and they don’t need evidence to support this. It’s insane. Ownership is clueless.
  14. Same approach as last year. It didn’t work last year, let’s try it again. lol.
  15. Feels very similar to last year. Management has this false hope the hitters will figure it out after three seasons. It’s not enough proof for them that they failed at building a contender.
  16. I just don’t want Shatkins or Shapiro anywhere near this team to work on it. 10 years is 10 years already too long.
  17. Nope you’re wrong there. Where is your proof? You have none because that’s not true. Go ahead and fabricate things Spanky. Seems about right.
  18. lol. They been doing it for a few years now. Why is anyone surprised? They haven’t made drastic changes by adding really good hitters to this team. They are what we thought they were.
  19. Can’t hit. Let’s keep em all together for years and years. Joke.
  20. I love hearing that hitters are close. They have been close for three years. Oh I am sure it’s coming.
  21. Mid level team who don’t get extra base hits. Imagine paying to watch this team. Why is Shatkins and Shapiro still here? They must have something good on ownership.
  22. Wow, this feels so familiar. Jays can’t hit. Three years in a row of s*** hitting and management still doesn’t have a clue but ownership keeps them aboard. Makes sense. Organization deserves to lose when they don’t want to make huge changes in the front office.
  23. It is because it rarely ever happens. Surprise and shock.
  24. Elephant in the room. This team can’t hit home runs and once again it’s costing them. Boring baseball. It’s great if you can win 3-0, 3-1 every game. Most teams have a legitimate group of power hitters. We have Santander (not this year so far) and Vladdy (Not this year so far.) it’s depressing. 2nd worst in the league. 12 in 22 games played.
