So in 2022 Garcia was a decent middle reliever for us. But he wasn't really striking anyone out.

2023 his K rate went way up but his performance was a little more volatile despite once again being a sold middle relief option.

2024 Velo went up K rate stayed great but got injured and ultimately got shipped off to Seattle where he kinda sucked but also was hurt.

2025 Velo has stabilized and actually has been up at times and he's been basically unhittable

Pretty impressive considering he's done this all in his 30's.

Countdown to Yimi's arm falling off is getting closer to 0.

Not trying to jinx the man. Just giving him the credit he is due. I was critical of him in the past but he has emerged as something better than even I think the Blue Jays themselves have expected. He's been a reliever for a long time and he's way better than he ever was. You see stories about late bloomers in Baseball every year but it's usually a failed starter that becomes a reliever. Like Jeff Hoffman. Or a guy that washed out completely goes to Japan, Korea, or Independent Leagues and finds his way back. Yimi just throws harder and his stuff moves more. Its interesting to me.

I can't believe the D-Bags traded us Daulton Varsho for a slap-hitting midget Catcher 😂

That trade has taken quite the turn. Year 1 it looked lopsided with the Dbacks going all the way to the World Series. Both Gurriel and Moreno being apart of that. Moreno followed up hitting 4 homeruns in 17 playoff games with just 5 total last year. And once again the power has completely vanished. Gurriel has just been flat out awful so far but he's always been a streaky hitter. He looks unbelievable at times and the worst player in Baseball at other times.

Meanwhile Varsho been doing his thing. Now getting full value in CF. Now the Dbacks wish they didn't make that trade. I don't even think you could say it worked out well for both teams. It just completely flipped lol.

I don’t exactly think the Dbacks would undo the trade if they could… they have more than enough OFs and needed a young C. Trade made sense for both teams and still works for both.

at a boy Dalton.  Now if only Schneider wasn't a dunce and had started Springer!  If someone comes on here and says he needs the days off....He's had 7 or 8 days off already. We don't need to give him the Kawhi treatment.

Exaggerate much? The team has played 31 games and Springer has appeared in 28 of them. The team has done a very good job keeping him healthy in recent seasons and the baked in time off has to be a big part of why.

Yimi has been aging like fine wine to be certain. I fully believe he was a little underappreciated in his first few seasons with the club as he was one of MLB's best all purpose firemen out of the pen. I just hope and pray that his elbow doesn't act up like it did last season as he and Hoffman have made an unbelievable 1-2 punch in leverage situations.

The jays led for a total of an inning this entire series yet took 2/3. That’s gotta be infuriating as a Red Sox fan lol. Hopefully these last 2 games can spark the club a bit.

Varsho has only been back for 3 games.

Nobody is running victory laps thinking they fleeced the other side.

Moreno 257 SLG

Our catcher isn't doing that much better when it comes to that, but at least he's shown some life with the bat the past couple of games which is encouraging. I don't expect Moreno to keep a .257 SLG all season. Likely will settle in the .380-400 range.

After two hits today Lukes’ numbers are looking decent.

I don’t know how much more of Roden I can take.

Hopefully Lukes stays up.

Roden should be playing in Buffalo. Let him play everyday and get some confidence back.

The trade worked out for both teams, it's a wash at C with Moreno/Kirk and we added Varsho, it's always been a good trade that helped both clubs. I do remember your hot takes and early spikes on the trade and taking victory laps, get in your lane bro. lol

Exactly this. The Blue Jays had an excess of catchers and needed a controllable left handed outfielder, and the Dbacks had an excess of controllable left handed outfielders and needed a controllable catcher. It feels like a win/win trade at this point.

Its a combination of last year as well. Not declaring it after 3 games. Looking where the teams were at after Year 1. Compared to now. I would say it’s been a pretty big swing.

Bingo. In Jonn's defense he has mentioned he was initially a dingleberry. Good for him there.
