John Schneider should just make a recording of that so he can play it after every loss. "You have to tip your hat to them/him/the play/etc." Jays24 1

They are good at times or really bad. Super inconsistent. They rely way to much on the homerun but ya it’s bad to be honest with where they are at. On 6/5/2022 at 5:00 PM, GogetemJays said: Really surprising? The bats don’t show up unless they homer. Who really considers this team a great team. So many holes. On 6/5/2022 at 3:15 PM, GogetemJays said: If you don’t have runners on base, solo home runs do very little. I would rather take Minnesota’s small ball than the homerun. You have to remember, the playoffs change everything. Not as many home runs, more small ball. The team needs to have a few players who fit that mold. On 6/5/2022 at 3:02 PM, GogetemJays said: The defence has been a big let down today. 22 minutes ago, Spanky99 said: This clown used to post on here in '22 complaining about the Jays only having HR hitters and no defense... and now, here we are. 17 minutes ago, GogetemJays said: Nope you’re wrong there. jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 22, 2025 Posted April 22, 2025 Josh Walker with 3K's in 2 innings. Would like to see him being used as a LOOGY guy later on if he sticks with the big club. Like his stuff.

Going into the season with Wagner and Roden as starters is looking like a mistake. Ideal situation would have been having them start in Buffalo and be the first guys called up in case of an injury. The gist of what you're saying is correct. Ideally we'd have studs at #3 and #4 and that would move Taters and Springer down. We'd also have more starting pitcher depth and another high leverage reliever or two. Even the optimistic take entering the year would admit that we were a team with a mid-80's win projection and had some holes. That's not good enough with a Top 5 payroll and not a ton of success previously. That said, this schedule has been a gauntlet so far. Look at teams like the Red Sox who are finishing up their SEVENTH game against the ChiSox so far. We only play the ChiSox 6 times all season. So to be 12-11 isn't a bad spot. Need to make sure to finish this road trip strong and then the schedule becomes pretty normal for a while. Starting the end of May through the ASB it becomes "easy". Still gotta win the games but it will help. Jays24, BB17, Orgfiller and 5 others 8
