Grant77 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Is Lucas expected to get another start? I haven't looked closely at the schedule.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Springer dinger baby!!!! He's back!!!
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Springer is officially back. This lineup is stacked.
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Springer is such a likable guy, glad he's off to great start. spats, Orgfiller, Brownie19 and 1 other 3 1

Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 It's time to punt Clement/Schneider into full time back roles and not actual platoons. Roden/Wagner need to be playing EVERYDAY regardless of the handedness of the pitcher spats 1
HomeRunHomer Verified Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 They keep on trotting Schneider out there against lefties but he doesn't even hit lefties well.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Babe Heineman lengthening the lineup.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Ross Atkins really acquired Straw as a salary dump plus international money. He needs to be investigated.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 So can all the Cleveland guys end up being great for us? Lol Straw looked great all Spring too
Jaysman Verified Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Feels like we should be winning by more, getting contributions from unlikely sources, need to make it count!

Clement was safe. Just barely, but he was. Overturn it and make sure the right call is made. Just a stupid system. I've said this from the beginning on instant replay. The only consideration that should be used by the replay room is "Can you definitively declare the runner/batter to be out?" If that answer is no, he's safe. End of replay.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Easton Lucas has more swinging strikes than Mackenzie Gore lol.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 It's not even really the rule, it's the application of the rule. The biased video control room people are just so f***ing strict with their own interpretation of "definitive" evidence. It was clear on video that Clement just touched the plate before he was tagged. It was definitive. The people in the video control room in New York want something more than basic video proof. They want proof from every conceivable angle + a sworn affidavit from home plate that it was touched first. Jays24 1
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Unreal performance from Easton Lucas. Not a fluky one either, the swings and misses were legit.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 I've seen enough, move Scherzer to the bullpen since he can't exceed 40 pitches anyways lol.
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 What an insane start from Lucas. Nats fans must be like us last year, they think they might finally get some offense because they are facing a no name scrub and then that scrub comes in and promptly shuts them out over 5 innings giving just one hit haha

They’ve totally warped the idea of ‘definitive’ evidence, it was close but Clement was shown to be safe. Video replay guys then just use the call on the field as an excuse to not overturn it. Call on the field stands should only be used when you actually can’t see it or prove otherwise.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Nice swing there Vlad, need to score this run.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 nice swing by vlad hit it 26 degrees in the air and good things happen!
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 4 XBH today and only 2 runs to show for it so far lol. Frustrating game considering the offense has been doing its job for the most part. Spanky99 and Jays24 2
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Good for Easton Lucas. This came out of absolute nowhere. Not counting on anything like this moving forward but you take it for now.
