It's time to punt Clement/Schneider into full time back roles and not actual platoons.  Roden/Wagner need to be playing EVERYDAY regardless of the handedness of the pitcher

Is Lucas expected to get another start? I haven't looked closely at the schedule.

Jays don't have a day off after tomorrow for 10 straight games, I'm sure he'll ne needed on the 5th day.

I don't get the point of replays if the only way to overturn it is if the umpire made the worst mistake of his life, rather than just an obvious missed call. Clement was safe. Just barely, but he was. Overturn it and make sure the right call is made. Just a stupid system.

I've said this from the beginning on instant replay. The only consideration that should be used by the replay room is "Can you definitively declare the runner/batter to be out?"

If that answer is no, he's safe. End of replay.

It's not even really the rule, it's the application of the rule.

The biased video control room people are just so f***ing strict with their own interpretation of "definitive" evidence.

It was clear on video that Clement just touched the plate before he was tagged. It was definitive.

The people in the video control room in New York want something more than basic video proof. They want proof from every conceivable angle + a sworn affidavit from home plate that it was touched first.

What an insane start from Lucas.

Nats fans must be like us last year, they think they might finally get some offense because they are facing a no name scrub and then that scrub comes in and promptly shuts them out over 5 innings giving just one hit haha

Unreal performance from Easton Lucas. Not a fluky one either, the swings and misses were legit.

Pete Walker is a legend. Could be another success story under his watch.

They’ve totally warped the idea of ‘definitive’ evidence, it was close but Clement was shown to be safe. Video replay guys then just use the call on the field as an excuse to not overturn it. Call on the field stands should only be used when you actually can’t see it or prove otherwise.

Good for Easton Lucas. This came out of absolute nowhere. Not counting on anything like this moving forward but you take it for now.
