Ross is just coiling up like a cobra. Plan Sneak Attack 2025 is in full effect.

Jackson Holliday sucks again

His projections are starting to tumble too. Preseason Steamer was 110 wRC+ now his Steamer ROS is 103 wRC+

Interesting case study

Along with Matt Shaw and Dylan Crews

All 3 guys promoted to MLB too soon

The Matt Shaw demotion is weird to me. Why even break camp with him if the leash was going to be so short? He's a good enough prospect to have received a couple hundred PA first.

Probably because there is now a book on him (sucker for high fastballs) and easier to make the adjustments in AAA

The Athletic polled 40 executives on what the top MLB front offices are. Toronto was one of 10 teams that received no votes:

Athletics, Chicago Cubs, Chicago White Sox, Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles Angels, Miami Marlins, Pittsburgh Pirates, St. Louis Cardinals, San Francisco Giants, Toronto Blue Jays.

This is not good company to be keeping.

I wonder if they did this poll again today if the Jays, Giants and Cubs might get some votes.

Can’t wait for the clubhouse issues to start up in Baltimore when their star position players get tired of losing games with a bottom barrel rotation

They actually added over 70 million in payroll this offseason lol.

  • Oneill: 16.5 AAV and the only multi-year deal
  • Morton: 15 mil
  • Sugano: 13 mil
  • Kittredge: 10 mil
  • Gary Sanchez: 8.5 Mil
  • Kyle Gibson: 5.25 mil
  • Laureano: 4 mil

Not a lot to show for 72.5 mil. Some of those are complete head scratchers.

Only guy that has really worked out has been Tyler O'Neill. Contract isn't that bad actually if he stays healthy.

Rest of the moves:

- Morton looks toast.

- Sugano has been lucky: his ERA will spike soon.

- Kittredge out until end of May lol. But they were worried about Hoffman haha.

- overpaid for Gary Sanchez as a backup catcher/DH

- Gibson at $5M is decent for a veteran innings eater.

- Laureano offensively has struggled in the early going but isn't bad to have around as a 4th outfielder.

They should have targeted more elite talent to build around the core. Instead they did waste money on fringe/average guys more than anything.

Yeah if I'm Gunnar or Rutchman, would be super pissed and callout the FO.

Not a lot to show indeed.  And next year, they're in for a massive payroll increase just from all the Arb increases for their young roster.

Whatever happened to this board's Mike Elias Fan Club that claimed the Orioles were the greatest organization and mind trust of all time and insisted to us on a daily basis that Mike Elias' farts smelt of genius?!

In the offseason I predicted that the Orioles rotation would be hot garbage and would finally see the wheels come off.  I was promptly tarred and feathered.

Olerud told us that Samuel Basallo is a better prospect than Vlad was and will stick at catcher. Don't worry, the saviour is coming.

D'Backs trailing 7-2 and post up a 10-run inning in the top of the 8th to take a 12-7 lead. Cubs in the bottom of the 8th have scored 6 runs and now 13-11 currently lol.

One of the wildest games I've ever seen.

J-Rod’s contract is an interesting case, that I wonder if it will be an inspiration for more teams going forward, with players like that. Buy out the arb years, then present two dramatically different options, for player and club. It seems like it was a good hedge, while fully committing to him. I mean if he ends up sucking, it’s still a bad deal, but the damage is mitigated.

I’m out of my off board fantasy leagues and not missing it yet, but I still get a little pleasure seeing J-Rod be terrible, for old times sake.

I feel no desire to continue the offense/defense  monetary value debate in this new forum. If you want to dig up all the posts last season where you guys insisted a 1b could only get $200m on the open market, I know you’re capable of digging that up.

B**ch,

I know you don't want me to bring up receipts from you in the past Baldilocks, it never ends up well.

watching the Giants at Angels (rarely watch either team)

Trout with 2 home runs already just missed hitting his 3rd bottom of the 9th............same inning Matt Chapman with a great play at 3rd throwing out the runner from his knees.

Nice to see Trout back
