I suppose Jays can't be buyers right now, but no one in AAA that's even worth a shot for relievers? Or is it more a myth that replacement level players are easy to find

It's crazy that we all knew that Mayza was in trouble out of ST with decreased velocity and generally looking awful, and yet he's still in the pen heading into July. Kinda hope he stays all season. Halladay's 2000 ERA might be in jeopardy.

Same with Swanson, and Romano. And Springer. None of these guys looked good coming into the start of the season and some of us were a bit worried, but others said “the front office knows better”

Well, turns out the initial judgements were correct

This game was within reach for six innings. Too bad the wheels fell off. Yes, I don't like the Yankees.

Hope you enjoyed beantown. Hopefully you caught the whale cruise and the aquarium it is must see.

Unfortunately I never got around to the whale cruise and the aquarium, I wanted to fit it in but the planning never quite worked out.

Did enjoy watching a concert at Fenway and the Blue Jays game. Also went to their science center and enjoyed a Michael Jackson Broadway musical as well as just walking the trails. Lots of good eating as well. All in all, I enjoyed Boston.

My gal and I have been tossing around the idea of going to Boston. I have never been but I think it would be a cool city to see

Springer and Kirk had amazing springs lmao

Right Springer looked good for the first like week of the season before falling off a cliff

Point still stands for many of the pitchers though. Specifically remember lots suggesting Swanson was rushed back and that Romano didn’t look sharp

1. If in the summer, yes.

I will be there for the August series vs the Jays.

It's nice to see Vlad continue with the recent power surge but he seriously has to be among the dumbest players in MLB. He gifted the Yankees a run when he wasn't paying any attention to the runner and then potentially ran them out of a big inning as well later in the game. He has a recent string of embarrassments in the field including falling over backwards when attempting to catch a popup as well. He started the season looking better at first but his metrics have been trending downwards to the point where he's nearly on pace to equal his disastrous OAA numbers from a season ago. It might finally be time to consider moving him to primarily DH if he doesn't stop making so many mistakes in the field.

She’s a Pats fan so could be a fall trip for us. But I definitely am not travelling anywhere cold in the winter time, cold enough in Canada

September baseball in Fenway feels like a good vibe tbh. Especially if they’re in the hunt

They hit George Springer lead off for two months, they aren’t moving Vladimir Guerrero Sr’s son to DH

So I just saw the Vlad HR. I checked it since I saw some comments about it.

I fnnn love bat flips and all that. I am against the Miami rule in college football.

However, Vlad pimping the HR plus the bat toss and the jacket etc for a solo HR when down 3 is just not smart IMO. Not a good Team message IMO and probably gave the Yankees a little umph as they went on the tack on 9 more runs after that.
