Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 He definitely caught wind of something during the off day. Maybe Ross told him the higher ups were losing their patience and he may walk the plank. Interesting that I heard Jeff Blair say that Schneider usually has a weekly spot on their show and he cancelled that as well. We will know for sure if it's a last ditch panic when he starts getting creative with the line up card. Something he hasn't done....yet.

L54 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Who are the top Bichette suitors at the deadline??? The Dodgers which is why the Jays need him to get going
HomeRunHomer Verified Member Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 This team as it's constructed is a low scoring, good pitching and defensive team which means nearly every game is going to be tight. Every in game decision becomes absolutely crucial and the team simply can't afford to give up an edge by making managerial mistakes. Every decision is just much more important. That goes for the replay team as well which IMO has been awful. It's kind of difficult to rate how Schneider is doing though because it's hard to know just what decisions are coming from him and what's coming from the nerds in the front office. At times it feels like he's just there to implement a game plan the front office has come up with. That game plan seems flawed or at least slow to adapt to fast changing conditions. It's like they don't know when to use a bigger sample sizes or when a recent smaller sample size is more relevant. I do think the bulk of the blame ultimately is on Shapiro and Atkins. It's their ship. They built this. Not sure what they are going to do but I think the entire decision making process should be under review. What I don't want them to do is fire Schneider and promote Mattingly. I'm not a fan of Mattingly at all.
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Bo can smell the BS. He’s looked unhappy here for a while now, and if I had to guess it’s because he can see that the team is a joke from the top down
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Who are the top Bichette suitors at the deadline??? Dodgers would be in play
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Giants would probably be looking to snag Bo if he were made available.

Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Bo could wind up playing 2b for whichever team he ends up on. Not necessary that the prospective team needs a ss.
glory Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Who are the top Bichette suitors at the deadline??? As others have said it’s definitely the Dodgers. Not sure what the Jays could get for him though especially with him struggling like this. Vlad’s market is probably the Mariners and Padres. Can’t really think of anyone else.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2024 Author Posted May 4, 2024 crazy talk regarding Bo Dude has been worse than anyone He’s probably pissed about his own performance, if he’s mad at other people than he should worry about getting his own affairs in order first
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Blowout loss to the Nats has me like this I watched Spider Man (2002) the other night. Still holds up very well and definitely could argue because of Spider Man's success, we started to see a roll out of other comic book movies to follow.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Unfortunately he has other things on his mind right now. Send him on mental health leave Yeah - he's been thru a lot this year and obviously not at his best.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Im so pissed that this team looks like dogshit rn but it does get a little bit annoying when posters like Spanky and Term constantly gaslight everyone saying the team is fine and the numbers will turn around This. Also got to add Brownie to the list. Term likes to troll and is entertaining. Have no issue with him. He at least can be rational.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 My opinion doesn't fluctuate game to game. When everyone is throwing the team overboard after a 4-6 road trip to start the season I held. The we won like 3 or 4 series in a row. Seemed wise. Then we hit another rough patch again the Royals and it's continuing. Now we've got over a month of data now. My position is about the same, I do think we will play better and contend for a WC. But the longer it takes to start playing better, the more I have to wonder (1) how big the upswing will actually be when we do finally turn things around and (2) if we will still be in meaningful contention by the time that happens. Well said
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Jays were clipping along on (almost) all cylinders winning on pitching and defense, 9-4, had won 4 series in a row and opened up with a win in KC....then Vlad missed a f***ing routine catch at 1st. Since then, 2-8 and all the wheels have come of this old gilopy. f*** you Vlad

Term dug his feet in the sand weeks ago and decided he’d be a contrarian, rather than join the lynch mob. His optimistic persona is manufactured

burlingtonbandit Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 This team is lucky to even have the record they have. By run differential/base runs this has been a bottom 5 team in baseball this season. Are they actually this bad? No of course not but even optimists would say this is a high 80s win team at the absolute most. When you combine the fact that they are going to have an uphill battle to even make the postseason and with all the upcoming FA/roster spots to fill, I think they almost have to sell. You’re better off trading a few wins from this season in order to become a mid 90s win team in 26-28.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 Where is Spanky these days with his ******** Go Jays Go posts? Trying to lookup which advanced stat he can use to show this team is good... slim pickings these days lol Right f***ing here, twiddle dee and twittle dumn.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 This isn't serious business. I don't know why it bothers some of you so much that others see their baseball team through rose-colored glasses. The "haha where's Spanky now" posts when the team loses just come off as pathetic. Cause they are, cringe. Hah!

CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 I think what's more heart breaking is that the Nats are supposed to "suck" this year-- they are in the middle of a rebuild. Not only that, but we faced their worst SP last night and could barely hit a ball out of the infield against him.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
