Dickey appeared in 30 games, 29 starts. Whoops! Estrada made 29 starts. The rest made 30+. They also added Liriano at the trade deadline.

From what I remember, I said something like "I guess the mods finally did their job" (you know, as someone who is a mod on other sites and is met with the same expectation, lmao) when an out of pocket comment posted by someone was finally removed. One of the mods got really mad that I used the word "job" (taking it literally) instead of duty or responsibility or whatever, freaked out that this isn't their job, and gave me a permanent ban, lol.

I do recall there was more to the story.... I have always been one of the libertarian wing of this board and challenged bans and Mod overreach. However, even I in this case was like probably better off... I really can't recall, only I think it was more than what is being posted as the "Reason".

 

I think toward the end he was only posting links to Reddit trying to drive traffic over to Reddit and not even really participating here... and some other things...

I would be cautious of these guys in "the know posts". I saw that guy who was the first to announce/broke Freeman was signing with the Dodgers, also posted the other day that Ohtani will is close to signing a $600 million dollar deal with the Dodgers.

 

There are guys in the, "know" on both/all sides..

 

Also, if it was so secret that only certain execs were involved and the edict is loose lips sink ships, how would a guy not in the loop, know how the meeting went in Dunedin...???

 

Could be valid info, might be fluff... I would really take all non confirmed/verified sources that don't have to put their pro reputation on the line and confirm and crosscheck with a grain of salt..

 

I think I told this story before.. However, Vernon Wells told me to my face in a private setting he was NOT signing with the Jays and was going to play in Texas. Basically he was like f*** NO he is not signing with the Jays... Fast fwd and we all know what happened when we threw enough $$ at him.
