Omar Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Author Posted October 4, 2023 The mighty AL East got castrated in the wildcard round.
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Vlad getting picked off being a f***ing moron was the turning point in this game.
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Varsho our worst hitter to end the season, fire Schneider Varsho hasn't handled velocity all year....why not put Schneider in who's a good fastball hitter...dumn.
ValiantJaysFan Verified Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 I'm glad this season is over, this team was utter dogshit.
Fastball21 Verified Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 I'm done, see you next year...lol
M.E. Verified Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 A real manager would be nice too. Someone who doesn’t have to learn on the job.
PitaBaby Verified Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 This entire season needs to be erased from every history book.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Ok.. So do you all see what I've been barking about for the past three years?
DigitalRock Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Varsho hasn't handled velocity all year....why not put Schneider in who's a good fastball hitter...dumn. Schneider is no better than montoyo
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Varsho is our worst hitter. Why pinch run with Whit? They could have used him to pinch hit for Varsho
travisinfla Verified Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Berrios is like damn, basset shaking his head
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Vlad getting picked off being a f***ing moron was the turning point in this game. Pulling the SP that was on cruise control was the turning point. Vlad pickoff was the soul crusher
harvey16 Verified Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Removing Berrios when they did was the turning point in this game Your not winning any games when you score zero runs. 1 run in 2 games is a pathetic display. While I think it was crazy that pulled Berrios. That didn't cost them the game.
Jays333 Verified Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 The most unenjoyable 88 win team I have ever seen, with an utter embarrassing showing in the playoffs for a 2nd year straight, and an epically controversial decision to go with analytics and remove a pitcher who looked unhittable after 40 pitches is just a nice little cherry on top.
ValiantJaysFan Verified Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 At least Belt likes the perogies in Toronto or some s***
Doubleplay21 Verified Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Varsho hasn't handled velocity all year....why not put Schneider in who's a good fastball hitter...dumn. Why are people blaming Schneider The analytics team says let Varsho hit

Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 What a shocking end to the season.
jaysthebest Verified Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 I told you guys Gray and the Twins pitchers are going to shutout our batters, and it turned out to be true. 2023 Blue Jays offense was always struggling against the great pitching.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Pulling Berrios was stupid. BUT Kikuchi got some ground balls that just happened to squirt through. And then it allowed them to mow down the Twins the rest of the game with their right handed relievers. Just couldn't get hits with runners in scoring position and couldn't get extra base hits either. I think we had 1 all series which was a double.

While I think it was crazy that pulled Berrios. That didn't cost them the game. The air was let out of the baloon when they pulled Berrios and allowed two runs. It was absolutely the turning point of the game, not just on the scoreboard but psychologically for the team. It was a complete and utter failure.

Min didn’t do much to deserve to win.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 The plus with this loss, as much as I hate seeing the Jays getting eliminated, likely means serious changes will be made. Starting with Atkins and some of the coaching staff. This FO while having done great things has been mediocre. So far under Atkins, Jays haven't won a Postseason game.

Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 So far under Atkins, Jays haven't won a Postseason game. I wanted them to win just won game so bad so you couldn't use that line anymore. Bummer. Looks like I'll be hearing that all winter.
Doubleplay21 Verified Member Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Schneider is a good people person and does not want to hurt feelings when they screw up Noticed this in April

Do we really think Shapiro will fire Atkins? I think he will fire JS as a scapegoat, but I don't see him firing his buddy Atkins.

Looks like I'll be hearing that all winter. I wish I didn't have to say it as well, but those are the facts man. His tenure has been mediocre to date and the window keeps getting smaller. Serious changes need to be made this offseason.
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted October 4, 2023 Posted October 4, 2023 Amazing, roster construction lost the playoffs again. This FO just has no ability to put together a great winner, just one that gets just enough wins to make it in
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
