I'll tell you the turning point - it's the "goggle party" after losing two games at the end of the season - they won NOTHING and they lose their way into the playoffs and they party - they've never won a game immediately after these parties in years prior. Now I know what the argument will be - it's a baseball thing, it just something they do in the sport, but after losing two games, where unless your competition (Seattle) loses, you may be out - it's just not good. A sports Physiologist would recommend against this because it gives you the same feeling as if you won something and you're satisfied with your accomplishment when you still have games to play.

 

Where is the Blue Jays Physiologist? They pay players millions and they should be able to afford this. It's why in hockey, the players always say they will enjoy this victory for a few minutes and then go on to planning for the next. The Jays lose and they party.

True. Emphasis on run prevention is only getting us so far. 2-0 feels like it might as well be 22-0 this year. Which is f***ed. We saw the underperformance all season and needed to add lumber at the deadline, even at a premium.

It was so fitting that Daulton Varsho was the last out before Chapman. Both players epitomized mediocrity.

 

Atkins - traded Moreno and Gurriell for Varsho should be enough grounds for termination. But to continue the employment of an inexperienced manager in Schneider to lead a team with playoffs aspirations and not fire his two hitting coaches in Martinez and Hudgens are more than enough to kick Mr. Ross Atkins out of the door. (A.Rod said it perfectly, Schneider’s decision to yank Berrios early after only 47 pitches was not a sole move but came from the guy above his pay grade)

 

Schneider, Rivera, Guillermo Martinez & Hudgens - fire them now
