100%. Buck Martinez has known their was a tell since early 2022 and the Jays coaching staff can't figure it out? Look at the pitches they are taking. Look at the swing Lewis had on a 97 mph inside fastball. That doesn't happen unless he recognizes it really early.

but if you saw where kirk wanted that fastball, Gausman missed that away location by 2 feet. if its where it was supposed to go lewis is out there.

I wholeheartedly agree. You and I have watched baseball long enough to know when something's up. That's the great thing about baseball. You notice things that you would have missed when a newer fan, like many in this thread. So much nuance.

He has to establish the low fastball and he's got to throw a few early strike to ball splitters to establish it. If they're headed for the dirt right out of his hand they're not going to swing.
