would you say that if his weak grounder found a glove?

Was wondering if anybody would bring up the extreme luck of that hit lol. But give him credit for having a good at bat leading to that hit.

I hope Horowitz has at least 20 HR power because his other offensive skills seem to be there.

Good eye. Good contact. I read before the season that he was working really hard to increase his exit velos. Maybe he has a shot but not sure where he would fit in with us position wise next year.

Ernie Clement deserves to be on this roster down the strech. Absolute disgrace that Espinal is being rostered over him.

He is what he is offensively but we need his defense at third. He may not be what he used to be but just having a guy who can make the plays you're supposed to make at third is valuable. You don't appreciate it until he's gone.

as if on cue... damn nice play

So after tonight a 6-5 record mathematically guarantees us a spot in the playoffs, which will be easy to make.

6-4 techninally. We have 10 games left after tonight. Realistically we can probably go 4-6 and still get in.

Got to say I love the idea of adding a pure base stealer. I've always been a fan of having a guy like that for big games. With the kind of pitching we'll be facing, he may win us a game

Remember Dalton Pompey's steals a few years back. Could be a huge tactical weapon.

And that was even on a team full of thumpers, we are hardly a team full of thumpers now, we NEED s*** like this.

Easy peasy.

Get ready for another butt clencher tomorrow.

EDIT: Actually I think it's 6-4?

Easy. To. Make.

Jays taking care of the AL East opponents which is nice! Sweeping Boston and taking the first two against the Bronx Bombers! Great bounce back from the Texas series!

Right now Jays are in control. Just continue to take care of business and they should get in!

What a strange season for the Jays playing within the division. They actually started off well, going 4-2 in April. But in May/June/July they were a putrid 3-19 (!). But they've rebounded and are 10-4 in the division in August/September.

It all even's out as Jerry Seinfeld would say!

I'm super happy that they're playing great against them at this time of the season

Baltimore is the AL team that scares me the most but we'll worry about that when we face them in the post season

It's amazing how much of an impact a bad month had on the Jays divisional record. They had a really bad month of May, where they struggled in particular against divisional opponents during the month to the tune of a 2-13 record. Outside of that month their divisional record is actually a solid 15-12, with most of these losses coming against the Orioles who really have the Jays number in head to head matchups this season.

The orioles dont have the jays number. They are just lucky. They jays are the sole reason the orioles are winning the division. If we see them in the playoffs I think we sweep.

The Orioles regularly took the Blue Jays lunch money in the head to head matchups, it's a lot more than luck. I won't argue that the Orioles have massively outperformed their expected record based on run differential but they are still a very solid team.

I believe if the Blue Jays play up to their capabilities they have a team that should be able to take out the Orioles in the playoffs but this is far from a given.
