G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 (edited) Unfortunately this is what I was thinking too. Plus playing Vladdy at 3B only occasionally prob makes him worse too Turner part time at 3B might actually be more realistic, though certainly not ideal either Edited March 17, 2024 by G-Snarls
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 I really wish we had Chapman on the contract he got instead of IKF on the contract he got f***

gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 I hope Clement starts the year on the 26 man, or is it back to 25?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 I hope Clement starts the year on the 26 man, or is it back to 25? Still 26 Prob never goes back to 25 now
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 I hope Clement starts the year on the 26 man, or is it back to 25? he deserves it, enjoyed watching his at bats this spring, same with Schneider. maybe time to move on from both Biggio and Espinal
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 The rotation is proving to be incredibly deep and the power is back. Pretty much everyone is in the best shape of their lives and this team looks incredible. The World Series will be easy to make.

Lets hope the RC doesn’t kill half our flyballs this year

IKF is the best of the lot defensively. Just let turner play 2nd from time to time.
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 Wow, I can't believe Eric Pardinho might actually be something. Hitting 100mph and a regular 96mph with solid secondary's? Excellent Nice to see White missing so many bats. There might be something to this pitching lab. Jays seem to have pitching coming out there ass now. SP and RP Might have to cut Zulu just to get a catcher on the 40 man FFS

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 It did hit the top of the fence but was ruled a HR Either way, good start Looked out to me. I think it clanked off a fan's hands in the 2nd or 3rd row.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 Where did you get 100 from? Baseball Savant has him maxing out at 96.2 today. He hit 100 for Vancouver in September, apparently Not this spring
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 Yeah I was going off of Laika's post about last fall in Vancouver. Quote feature not working for me
RustyTrombone Verified Member Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 Yeah I was going off of Laika's post about last fall in Vancouver. Quote feature not working for me Oh what the hell I didnt know he had that in him. Maybe the gun in Vancouver was juiced? Cause theres a pretty big drop off from 100 last Sep to "only" 96 now.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 (edited) Can this work? Yes it can 97 isn't actually a bad grade for a fastball from a starter workload. Closer to average. I think he needs two versions of the slider though, and he needs to throw it more. Needs a sweeper and a bullet slider. Something like that. The fastball still isn't "good" but it's good enough provided the other parts of the arsenal work. Edited March 17, 2024 by Laika
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 *If* things go well for Votto is there any reason he couldn't get a spot to open the season? He has 3 more weeks to get ready and you can't be much more "vetrin" than he is... He and Turner always seemed like guys who could sleep all winter and just wake up day 1 of the regular season ready to hit. season starts in 11 days!

Toronto probably sends him to AAA just because they can and it lets them delay any 40 man decision for a couple weeks
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 Jesus… how much time are you guys going to spend masturbating to Mitch Whites stuff lol.. he’s a 29yo journeyman. How many times has such a person all the sudden turned into something worthy of being a key piece. Hopefully he’s a good depth option

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted March 17, 2024 Posted March 17, 2024 Joey Bats broke out at 29 And someone won Powerball. On the flip side, someone got eaten by a shark
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 18, 2024 Posted March 18, 2024 Mitch White: great arm but no idea where it's going! White and Pearson are quite similar...both get bad results, stuff should indicate better but bad command makes their stuff play down. Watching White today was like watching 2 different pitchers. One hitter he's junk, the next...three straight whiffs and it's nasty. White does get more swing and miss though
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted March 18, 2024 Posted March 18, 2024 And someone won Powerball. On the flip side, someone got eaten by a shark That was the same guy who won powerball, he was on vacation in the Caribbean
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 18, 2024 Posted March 18, 2024 The man told us he could still bang.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted March 18, 2024 Posted March 18, 2024 I told you all Springer looked washed, lol. He must have been playing with a nagging injury last year, combined with that flu bug he couldn't shake. If Springer and Varsho can keep this up and hit beyond their expectations, the offence will become scary again. lol...
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted March 18, 2024 Posted March 18, 2024 Maybe you won't care in two months! When Chapman is hitting .190 with average defense Chapman's worst case scenario is better than IKF's best case scenario and that I think should say it all. Let's not pretend to compare them in any way lol.
