Olerud363 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 Well that sucks. Thanks. He's got to find a consistent third pitch for lefties. Especially with no shift he's going to keep getting exposed. There was some hard contact off him after he was hit on the shin, but I just watched the one inning I missed and there was some bad defense behind him like a pretty routine grounder that Vlad messed up (and they scored a hit?). Espinal also made an error in the 4th or 5th. Defense was awful tonight. Maybe the wet field?
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 ugh....this game.....horrid. Whole series so far Fack
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 It’s a light rain that will pass. The wind is showing at 9mph which is not significant. The Red Sox pitchers seem to be able to get outs. They play in much worse conditions then this. Plus we are trailing. We only want to call the game if we are winning… You still want this game to continue lol
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 Whole series so far Fack There's losing and there's losing ugly. This game is ugly.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 That shouldn't be an earned on Pearson. f*** that..
TorontonianJD Verified Member Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 Putting Bass and Richards in close games is waving the white flag. We had 3 innings to get a run or a few runs to tie it. Def doable in Fenway. However, the pen consistently letting the game get away is a recipe for a barely making a WC spot, if that… Bingo!!!
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 Outfield defense looks like high schoolers. So many dropped pop ups
Daniel Labude Jays Centre Contributor Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 That shouldn't be an earned on Pearson. f*** that.. Technically it isn't. Run only scored because of the error on the throw. They should change that

Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 I was informed recently that this club was on pace for 100 W, and we should not worry.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 No reason to panic but obviously a lot of these games have been winnable and the Jays have found a lot of different ways to lose them.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 I was informed recently that this club was on pace for 100 W, and we should not worry. It sure was. 94 now. Still excellent. One month in those W pace numbers can change quickly.

Too many errors/mental mistakes. In the coming schedule for May, Sox are the 2nd weakest team we will face (Yankees being the 1st due to injuries). Everyone else is a meat grinder.

Yeah this was an awful game and could’ve been worse. I can handle losing the previous 3 games because 1 bounce goes different and we win those. But this one was gross. Boys need to end on a high note tomorrow before boarding the plane to Pitts.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 Brutal series. Can we get a proof of life check on Grant though please? You ok buddy?
L54 Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 I was informed recently that this club was on pace for 100 W, and we should not worry. Yes and the bullpen is excellent Everything is fine
WryNGinger Verified Member Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 Wow. That game was pure ass... Kirk and Espinal both with their third errors of the season. Kirk doesn't need to worry at all but Espinal batting .191 needs to be looking over his shoulder...except his competition is Biggio. f*** me. Gausman start tomorrow is perfect timing. Hopefully he dominates tomorrow and gets the team back on track and gets the pen some rest.

Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 For Bass or someone in the pen, probably is…
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2023 Posted May 4, 2023 For Bass or someone in the pen, probably is… Espinal as well, can't let the dogshit defense to go much longer, as he's been pretty much useless otherwise
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted May 4, 2023 Author Posted May 4, 2023 Some badly missed calls in the 4th that really ended up hurting.
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
